  “Decided to dine as a group of 4 as there was an excellent deal of 50% off mains. Food arrived in a timely manner and was presented well and tasted great. Big shout out to our server Jack, lovely young gentlemen who was polite, funny and very professional. Nothing was too much bother for him.”

  “Really nice interior since the refurb but the wait times to order / receive food are really poor. A few bits of the food came out burnt, flatbread wasn't soft it was cold and stale. Ordered fries but these never turned up. When we sat down we were told 6 items were unavailable. Sat with empty glasses for over an hour and nobody noticed. Management need more floor staff and bar staff during peak weekends to elevate the experience.”

  “Lovely birthday meal this evening. Ego was buzzing with lots of diners enjoying the food and the ambience. We ate Gambas al pil pil and lamb koftas as starters, Moroccan lamb and Duo of pork for main and sticky toffee pudding and a trio of desserts. Lovely food as usual, nicely cooked, tasty and well presented. Jane was our server for the evening, very pleasant, professional and friendly. She checked back with us to make sure all was well with our food and everything was served in a timely fashion.”

  “We enjoyed our lunch at Ego today. We had excellent service from all staff including Chloe and really tasty food - highly recommend the kebabs. It was lovely to see staff waving back at my little boy and engaging with him too 🥹 Thanks for a lovely meal.”

  “The last time we visited Ego’s Stockton Heath was just after it opened over 25 ish years ago due to the experience in the early 2000’s with service and food quality we voted with our custom not to visit again After hearing reports from our friends going to Ego’s since the refurbishment we decided to revisit the restaurant Well what a difference the Staff were welcoming and friendly decor was good,our server was called Jack he took our order and was attentive to all our needs in fact a credit to the restaurant. The food arrived quite quickly and was both well presented and hot I had the Moroccan Lamb and my wife had the vegetarian pallela both were excellent. It was a very pleasant way to spend my Birthday and will be returning to eat here again especially as we have found out that the restaurant has a dog friendly area.”

  “Friendly warm welcome by Laurel. Restaurant was busy but Laurel made it all feel calm and she was attentive. Food amazing. Big portions. This was our first time @Emgo but we will 100%be back. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced too.”

  “Beautiful food , staff worked extremely hard and as quick as possible in a very busy restaurant on an extremely hot day. Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Betty our waitress was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful dinner we will be back soon xxx”

  “For the price… very underwhelming. The restaurant itself is nice and the staff were lovely, but the food portions and quality did not match the price. The best part of the meal was the hanging chicken kebabs which was very delicious, but the sides that came with it weren’t enough.”

  “Definitely one of the best restaurants we've been lately. The food was amazing, quick, the atmosphere was quiet and couldn't be more happy with the service. The bill on the end was a nice surprise, i easily would pay more a nd still no complaints. Highly recommend.”

  “Waiting on staff very attentive, especially Bianca. Lovely happy smiling staff, nothing too much trouble and a lovely surprise birthday dessert complete with sparkler made the birthday meal complete. Food was exquisite too!”
