About A La Turka
A La Turka is a Turkish restaurant in Warrington that features belly dancers, with live music on some evenings as well. Diners can choose from an à la carte menu, an early-bird menu and special party menus, all served in a main dining room. The kitchen cooks chicken shish kebab and a mixed kebab of meat and prawns, and there is a chef special sharing meze for the table. The menu is large and covers dietary requirements. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the service, describing a warm greeting and staff who are friendly and attentive. One diner says a dish that wasn't to their taste was taken away and replaced, and the host thanked them for their honesty. The chicken shish kebab and the Sunday dinners draw repeat praise from regulars, while others name the mixed kebab with meat and prawns, the calamari, the cheesecake and the chef special sharing meze. Cocktails come up several times, with one pair calling them some of the best they have had. Many mention the atmosphere, including live music, a terrace and a balcony table, and a few say they came to celebrate an anniversary. The one recurring reservation is value: one reviewer feels portions are small for the pricing and could leave a diner a little hungry, though another found the mains large enough that they couldn't finish them. One suggests adding a little wild rice to the mixed kebab, and another wishes the menu had Sütlaç.

“Exceptional service, from the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly like we were friends. Lovely first impression, we sat at a really nice table by the window. The food was some of the best we have had. Flavoursome and just the right amount. Will definitely come again, the waiters and waitress were also really friendly throughout. It’s those little touches that matter”

“Food is absolutely gorgeous! Full of flavour and texture. The calamari was cooked to perfection along with everything else. I personally thought I would try a new dish, however, it wasn’t to my taste. The host then proceeded to take the dish away and cook something else, and even thanked me for the honesty. The service here is impeccable. I wish they had some Sütlaç but that’s coz I’m greedy haha Would recommend and would come back just for the service alone. Thank you to our server and the rest of the team 🙏”

“Its a lovely restaurant with a great menu. Staff and atmosphere are very good. My only criticism is the pricing compared to portion sizes. You don't get an awful lot for tour money! The food itself is great but you could be left still feeling a little hungry! 😄”
