About Lokal Gastro Bar
Lokal Gastro Bar is a restaurant on London Rd in Warrington, with a menu that pairs British comfort cooking with dishes from other countries. The Sunday roast comes with a glass of prosecco and can be ordered with soup as a two-course roast. Smashed burgers include the Dirty Burger, made with pulled beef brisket, bacon and American cheese sauce, and served with beer-battered onion rings. The moussaka layers aubergine, potato, courgettes, minced beef and béchamel. Small plates are on offer for sharing, and cocktails sit alongside the food. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring their pets along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Sunday roast, a two course meal with soup and a glass of prosecco, with one calling it among the best Sunday dinners they have had out and another saying the roast was stacked in layers and too much to finish. Close behind are the moussaka, the lamb shank that fell off the bone, the fillet steak, the chicken and seafood rice, and a Dirty Burger with smashed patties and beer battered onion rings. Others praise the hummus, the small plates, the cocktails and a shared dessert. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, professional and attentive, and several mention feeling welcome. The one criticism is presentation, with a reviewer suggesting the roast would look better on a larger plate since the portion looked small in photos. One couple enjoyed the leftover seafood rice the next day after the chef went beyond the call of duty, and another party booked Sunday lunch after a Saturday night meal.

“Had lunch for my birthday. Never been before. The lamb shank was delicious and just fell off the bone. My wife loved her moussaka, and the dessert we shared was excellent. Will visit again soon. Thank you.”

“We've come up from the New Forest and I felt impelled to say that finding this little diamond of a restaurant was a pleasure. Lovely variety of dishes on the menu all beautifully seasoned and tasty. Extremely well priced too. The young Turkish waiter was friendly and proficient. If we ever come this way again we will most certainly visit again. Highly recommended. Thank you”
