Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the canal-side setting as the Navigation Inn’s standout draw, with many praising the outdoor seating and views of boats and wildlife. Close behind are the generous portions and quality of the pub grub, with the jumbo hotdog and its foot-long sausage, home-cut chips, and fried onions repeatedly highlighted as a favorite. Several also note the good selection of beers and spirits, and the friendly service. A few mention the small car park and limited on-road parking as a trade-off, while one describes a wait for food that was still deemed worth it.

“I used to love walking down through Horbury junction or down by the canal to the Navigation Inn when I lived in Horbury. The place hasn't changed much, which is a good thing, always very popular with families and couples, lovely outside seating area, not bad pint either.”
- Simon Botterill
“A brilliant location for a pub. Right by the canal. Great for walks and watching boats and wildlife. I guess this place excels as an outdoor pub. Loads of tables. Service was good, both for food and drink. Food is good. They try to do well. Car park is quite small and on road parking is limited. The play area is limited but ok.”

“We spent the night in our vans in the carpark. From booking to leaving we were looked after by Alex and what an amazing job he did. Thank you Alex and we'll definitely be returning 😊”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
