About Farmhouse Kitchen, Silkwood Park

Farmhouse Kitchen, Silkwood Park is a pub in Ossett that serves food from breakfast through to afternoon tea. Breakfast runs as a hot buffet with drinks stations, and hash browns and toast come to the table. The afternoon tea is built around a Yorkshire pudding wrap, giving guests a savoury take on the usual format. On Sundays a carver serves the meat at the carvery, with sides alongside. For something sweet to take home, the Biscoff cake is sold by the slice as a takeaway. The space is large and bright, and reservations are not required.

Customer Review Summary

Friendly, attentive staff run through nearly every review, with servers regularly checking on tables, chatting without rushing off, and sorting out small requests without fuss. Breakfast is the most common reason for a visit, with a hot buffet, tasty hash browns, good coffee, and toast brought to the table. The Sunday carvery comes close behind, with diners praising the meat and the sides, and one first-time carvery visitor found it really nice. The Biscoff cake and the desserts also get a mention. Reviewers describe a bright, spotless dining room with new decor and no excessively loud music, plus a new play area one child did not want to leave. One reviewer found reservations unnecessary but suggests booking for larger groups. Small gestures stand out in the accounts, such as a carver bagging up meat trimmings for a diner's dog, and a birthday card left at the table beside a separate vegetarian wrap for a Yorkshire pudding wrap afternoon tea.

“Went for the breakfast this morning (4/9/26) with my husband. Plenty of car parking available. Nice clean environment, spotless actually. Plenty of space. The buffet was piping hot with a good range of choices. There were 2 drinks stations placed a good distance apart. Really liked that there was no excessively loud music playing. Staff were really friendly and a huge shoutout to tinkerbell aka tracy! We were overwhelmed by your kindness and the fact you were happy enough to have a chat and not rush away after checking in on us. You are an absolute credit to silkwood farm and I would be doing everything in my power to make sure I retained you if i was the GM. Such a happy, positive and smiley young lady just sprinkling her fairy dust everywhere 😉 Thankyou for your hospitality today. Best visit we have had - mainly down to the quality of the food and Tinks! We will be back Shell”

It's genuinely the best Farmhouse Kitchen we've been to so far! Tracy was incredibly attentive throughout our visit, regularly checking that everything was okay and asking if we needed anything else. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt really well looked after from start to finish. The food was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the excellent service made our visit even more enjoyable. A huge thank you to Tracy, Collet, and the whole team—we'll definitely be back and would highly recommend this Farmhouse Kitchen to others! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“We visited for the Sunday carvery with the family and had such a lovely experience. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we’ll definitely be back. A special mention has to go to our carver, Jolie, who really made our visit. He was so friendly, chatted with us throughout, and genuinely made us feel welcome. When he found out we had a dog at home, he kindly offered us the meat trimmings that would otherwise have been thrown away, bagging them up for us to take home for her. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed how much he cares about his customers. To top it all off, we took away a slice of the Biscoff cake, and it was absolutely amazing! Overall, a brilliant experience with excellent food, outstanding service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!”
