About The Leggers Inn
The Leggers Inn is a pub in Dewsbury at 66 Mill St E, set by the canal with a boat yard alongside. A big beer garden sits on the site and hosts live bands at times, so a visit can coincide with live music. The kitchen cooks home made daily specials, and the steak and ale pie is on the food offer. Sharing platters are sized for 3, which suits a table of friends or a small group. On the drinks side, Blue Moon is served with a slice of orange. The pub is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Sharing platters draw the most praise at this canalside pub, with one diner saying a platter has enough for three and another calling it tasty. Close behind are the steak and ale pie, the homemade daily specials and the salt and pepper chips. Reviewers also mention generous portions and a big beer garden with live bands at times. One drinker singles out Thatchers cloudy lemon cider, and several describe welcoming staff and a pub that is dog and child friendly. The food draws one sharp complaint: a diner found the bread cakes seemed defrosted and the chips basic frozen ones, though the portions were still called great. Another reviewer, a wheelchair user, describes self service with stairs up to the bar, and says a server fell on the stairs and the meal never arrived. A parent who held a baby shower and a first birthday in the function room says the landlord opened early and allowed access the night before, with their own decorations, music and caterers.

“The building and vibe is nice however it's all self serve. You have to walk up some stairs to the bar in which it your wheelchair accessible you cannot walk meaning you cannot go to the bar. Furthermore the building is not just all there such as the seating area. Outside there is a small breakfast Caffe which is lovely and servers good food to you. The Leggers in failed to do so. One of my servers were about to server my food but fell down the stairs resulting into me having no food. And thirsty.”

“Had read brilliant reviews so popped down for tea. It's a great pub in a lovely setting, but the food was poor and basic. The bread cakes seemed to have been defrosted and the chips were basic frozen ones. Great portions though. Nothing like the reviews we've seen.”
