  “First time visiting, our waiter was very friendly, service was good. Food piping hot and very tasty, i enjoyed the Lamb duo but for the price id have liked a bigger portion of Lamb. My husband had the Sea food grill from the specials in his opinion it was ok. Overall the we enjoyed our visit.”

  “If ever there existed an establishment wherein a weary traveller might lay aside the burdens of the day, revive both spirit and constitution, and depart with a heart considerably lighter than when he entered, it is surely The Hutt in Ravenshead. The fare was of such admirable quality that one might imagine the cook had entered into a most agreeable conspiracy with Providence itself. Each morsel was prepared with care and served with such generosity that even Mr. Pickwick would have declared himself thoroughly satisfied, whilst Oliver Twist, for once, would scarcely have found cause to ask for more. The music drifted through the room with a warmth and cheerfulness that transformed an ordinary evening into a small celebration of life. It neither demanded attention nor relinquished it, but instead wrapped itself comfortably around every conversation, encouraging laughter and good company. The drink, too, was of excellent character—well poured, refreshing, and possessed of that curious ability to persuade one that perhaps another glass might be entirely sensible after all. Yet the greatest treasure of The Hutt is neither found upon the plate nor within the glass, but amongst its people. The staff conduct themselves with a rare blend of professionalism, warmth, and good humour that has become regrettably uncommon in this hurried age. Julie, in particular, deserves the highest commendation. She possesses that extraordinary gift of making every guest feel not merely welcomed, but genuinely expected, as though one were an old and valued friend returning home after a lengthy absence. Her kindness, attentiveness, and effortless good cheer are worth more than any ornament with which an inn might adorn itself. Should Mr. Dickens himself have wandered into Ravenshead in search of honest hospitality, fine victuals, spirited refreshment, and companions of uncommon civility, I dare say he would have lingered happily at The Hutt, quill forgotten, content simply to eat, drink, and be merry.”

  “Was a lovely place for a catch up with friends. The food was lovely, nice portions and reasonable priced. My friend brought her dog and they're fine with them so that's a definite plus. Staff were really friendly too. As a disabled person I was a bit worried about the loos but needed have been, as the disabled toilet was easily accessible, all on ground floor level and super clean. Thanks for all your hard work guys, it shows 🙂”

  “I was put to a really bad location table, and was told that all the other tables were booked. By the time I finished dinner, the place was not even fully seated. Another thing is that my dish was half full while I paused and checked something on my phone. The waitress came and sled if I have done and would like to take away the dish. I don’t feel this is normal.”

  “All ok apart from it’s not baby changing friendly as the changing board that comes down is the height of an average woman’s chest which makes it incredibly difficult to nappy change. Also absolutely freezing in there!! Pics to prove, including my ‘view’ of my baby 🤦‍♀️ …”

  “Met with friends, our first visit. Service was quite good, however drinks & food left a lot to be desired. Coffee was lukewarm & we sent some back for reheating. Soup was a half-full bowl of cold glutinous tasteless liquid served with a slice of white bread ( no brown bread) and a small dish of "old" herb butter. We enjoyed the space and hope to meet there again but will ask up front that drinks are served hot. Personally I won't be ordering soup!”

  “Beautiful looking pub ran by a pub chain. Nice and clean with a lovely country pub feel. The Sunday dinner was really tastey, and well worth the money. Service was ok, but no one came over to ask how the meal was.”

  “Staff were friendly. Service was excellent. The food was really good. It’s not a cheap place to eat but worth a visit for a treat. Would definitely recommend go again.”
