  “We visited on 20th June, a spur of the minute decison. Although reasonably busy, the dining area was calm and quiet. We noted several tables were reseerved but found a suitable table quite easily. The dining area was clean and tidy, despite being busy. My wife is lactose intolerant, and very self -conscious about this, especially when eating out, but Rachel, the duty manager who took our order, quickly put her mind at ease, and was able to reassure us both about our meals. The meals were served in good time, and were nicely presented, the food was hot and tasted great, unlike some places we've visited. When I asked about a possible dairy free dessert for my wife to enjoy, I was told that there was an option that my wife could have, with no issyes, despite.9it not being on the regular menu. Becca, the young lady serving was happy to tame my order, and pass on our requirements with no fuss or drawing any attention to our situation. A mention to Jack, one of the front of house staff, who was very helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. All in all, a lovely time, good food, friendly atmosphere, 3 great staff in Rachel, Becca and Jack, (the only staff we haf any dealings with!) we'd definitely recommend, and will absolutely be back soon!”

  “Big old unit this joint. Looks fairly new to be fair and on a little site with a greggs eaterie as well. Found by chance and a perfect stop off en route to sheffield for a bit of lunch. Looks like the same chain as the ode cherry tree farm from back in our homeland. Went with the carvery as we were tight on time schedule and headed straight over too fill our plates. I went with all 3 meats, gammon, turkey, beef then filled up with roasties, mash, carrots, brocolli, red cabbage, parsnips and gravy. Tell you what pal, the ode red cabbage was devine, had a real nice taste to it very scrummy in the ode tummy! Keep up the fantastic work you elmwood farmers 👨‍🌾👍”

  “We as a family do like this pub very much. Great food, friendly warm atmosphere but its the staff that provide the great service that makes it stand out above a lot of other pubs in the area. I want to pay particular Thanks to Ami who looked after me regarding my Mother’s Day 2026 booking! She had a great can do attitude and provided excellent customer service. Thanks Ami, you are a credit to Elmwood! Another shout out to other staff members who have been soo helpful to me and hubby in recent visits particularly because of my mobility requiring me use crutches!   “Buffet style breakfast as one possibility, very nice and a good choice. Only had breakfast and enjoyed. Make your own coffee with free refills, toaster so a complete breakfast at a reasonable price, come again. Have car charger in car park so had breakfast while car was charging win win. Staff were friendly and helpful”
