Quick info
About Sir Jack
Sir Jack is a pub and restaurant on Moorhead Way in Rotherham, with the carvery at the centre of the day. The carve deck starts early, running Yorkshire puddings alongside the standard roast serving and a separate counter for vegetables. The rest of the room continues as a working pub, and guests can order drinks through a mobile app from their table while they eat. Children have an indoor play area to use during the meal, which keeps families in the same room rather than splitting off. Booking posture, group bookings, late hours and similar practical details are not stated in the business's own data, so the paragraph stops at the carvery format and the play area, and does not pad with assumed advice or invented atmosphere.

Customer Review Summary
The carvery is the clear draw, with multiple reviewers calling the meat and Yorkshire puddings "cracking," and one noting the puddings were bigger than his head. Staff are described as welcoming and lovely, and the play area keeps families returning. One diner, however, found the bar service uninterested and the first-serving vegetables mushy.

“Went as it opened so was quite empty. The carvery was already out. Ordered carvery, standard size. The meat was cooked to perfection. The veg however, broccoli was mushy, solid sprouts, anemic roast potato's and cold stuffing. This was the first serving of the day. The staff were all polite. The pub slowly filled up as we were there. Families, groups, couples and single diners.”

“Went to SirJacks on Monday night and was very impressed, even tho is was pretty quiet the veg on carve deck was all fresh. Seen as I’m vegetarian I don’t eat meat so I got offended two Yorkshire puddings instead and I’m glad I took them. 10 times better than shop bought. Very happy with my experience would definitely recommend”

“Took wife and kids to play area at SirJacks and it was great couldn’t ask for anything more, getting to the end of kids summer holidays and ran out of ideas what to do with them, decided to take them here one of the best decisions ever, was lovely to sit back for a bit while they went and played, and the staff in there was very welcoming. Decided to go into the pub area after for some food, and that was absolutely cracking, the food was on point, didn’t take too long and ordered a drink from bar using the mobile app came in less than 5 min very impresse. Will definitely be going back 👍”

“Wasn’t too sure what to have for tea, seen as wife and kids had gone away for weekend, so I decided on going to SirJacks. And oh am I glad I did, couldn’t ask for anything more from a pub Staff out front was lovely and Welcoming, and this young lad on Carve with a mullet was cracking, had a lovely conversation with him, and the Yorkshire puddings was bigger than my head. I’ll definitely be returning this time I’ll bring the family along. Would definitely recommend. 😁👍”
