About The Bridge Inn
The Bridge Inn is a canalside pub on Dane Rd in Sale, set right beside the water with views across the canal. The kitchen serves British dishes, with a full breakfast and Sunday roasts on the menu, and a Sunday lunch sharing platter for tables that want to share. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along. Walkers can follow the canal on foot between the Altrincham end and Dane Road, and the pub sits beside that stretch of water.

Customer Review Summary
The food is the main point of disagreement. One reviewer in a group of ten or more calls the meal and the Guinness terrible, citing overcooked salmon drenched in hoisin sauce, soggy peppers, reheated roast potatoes and an incinerated Yorkshire pudding, with only two or three in the group enjoying their food. Another found little fish or crab flavour in the cod and crab balls. One reviewer suggests reserving for Friday nights.

“Been to this pub a few times now.. a great location and a welcome break from walking down the canal from the Altrincham end towards Dane Road. A very warm and cozy pub, always friendly staff, lots of room outside and inside. Good value for money for food and drinks and always tasty and promptly delivered. Highly recommended.”

“As ever, a lovely trip to the Bridge Inn, lovely place for just a drink or both food and a drink.Had another lovely late lunch here today. Our server was Luke B , who is so lovely, professional and very pleasant, goes OTT to help and serve 🫠, thank you, Luke. Food is always very fresh and presented perfectly 😋 only criticism, I had the cod and crab balls and there was not much taste of fish or crab, but really enjoyed all 👍🏽”

“We absolutely love coming here for food especially! But sometimes even just for a drink it’s lovely to sit outside and watch the canal and lots of cute passing dogs. We have just had the Sunday lunch sharer plater and it was amazing! All of the staff are lovely especially Cleo who served us today. We will be back very soon!”
