About The Sedge Lynn
The Sedge Lynn is a pub in Manchester on Manchester Rd, set in a former snooker and billiard hall with a spacious interior and a worn snooker-ball carpet still underfoot. The drinks list centres on cask real ales listed in the Good Beer Guide, with craft beers, gins, cider and wines alongside. Food runs from a pub classics menu, including breakfasts and wings with a choice of dip, to gourmet burgers and freshly made pizzas. Deli deal options and vegetarian choices round out the lighter bites. Tea and Lavazza coffee come with free refills, and table service is ordered through the Wetherspoon app. The pub sits near the tram stop.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to cheap drinks, especially the cask ales, with one praising a bitter from Great Newsome brewery and another noting its regular place in the Good Beer Guide. Close behind is the building, a former snooker hall that several call beautiful or unique, with an outside seating area and a worn snooker ball carpet, though one finds parts of it tired. Food gets mentions of wings with a choice of dip, pub classics and reasonable prices, and staff are described as friendly, polite and efficient when busy. Cocktails and a clean washroom also come up. The main complaints concern breakfast. One reviewer waited over an hour with no compensation offered, and two of four breakfasts arrived twenty minutes before the others. Another found a breakfast wrap with small pieces of hash brown and bacon, and one thought the coffee tasted weak. One visitor found the evening crowd lively on a Sunday afternoon, with a 50p off voucher bringing the pint down.

“Probably the best Spoons in Greater Manchester for both building and choice of cask beers. Do look out for the snooker ball carpet even though it’s rather worn now. A regular entry in the Good Beer Guide.”

“Ordered a breakfast, took over an hour. Asked what the problem was, they said its being cooked now it will be five minutes. So whats been happening for the last hour? Totally unacceptable, no offer to compensate. When the food arrived they brought 2 of 4 breakfasts out 20 mins before the other two, meaning i got to watch my friends eat all their food before mine even turned up. Worst service i’ve seen in a spoons”
