Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return to the breakfasts, especially the full English, praised for a succulent black pudding and thick bacon, with breakfast served all day. Eggs Benedict is close behind, described as cooked to perfection on a lightly toasted muffin. Also mentioned are jacket potatoes, a bacon cob with hot chocolate, a Victoria sponge that was a hit, and a cake selection several diners were eyeing up. Coffee and latte earn praise, while one finds the matcha nice but very sweet with the syrups. Portions are called generous, and staff are described as lovely, welcoming and pleasant. One reviewer says the cafe got very busy and was glad to have booked, and another found it so popular that a table was needed. The only reservation is minor: parking is described as tight, with the last spot taken and many people using the main road. Staff handled a large baby shower and still served diners with a smile, and one party received little plates made up for the kids.

“Had a special request for a takeaway drink. Nothing massive, but these lovely ladies went with it without question. I'd rather spend my money here than Starbuck, so glad to have been accommodated.”

“We arrived at Denbys for our breakfast this morning where I had already booked a table for 2 early in the week, I’m so glad I did because the cafe got very busy. I’m not surprised how busy it was as everything was great. Our table had a name on & we was given a menu to choose what we would like. We chose Latte to drink which was brought to us quickly & was good & hot. We ordered Eggs Benedict, & my partner ordered a full English Breakfast. The Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection, the muffin lightly toasted & the eggs were cooked perfectly. My partners Full English Breakfast came without tomatoes as he ordered & had a choice of extra of another item, he chose mushrooms which he said had lots of taste & he thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast with white toast. The staff were very welcoming & polite & the premises was very clean & decorated nicely. I would definitely go there again. The price was quite normal for what we ate, £28 which was well worth it. Highly recommended & you wouldn’t be disappointed”

“Came here for lunch and it was lovely, it had a very nice, chilled atmosphere and a great menu too! The food ordered was delicious and portion sizes were very generous. The matcha was nice although very sweet with the syrups. There's a small outdoor seating area which is quite cosy. I'd definitely visit again”

“Seen this place a couple of times on our way to Denby potteries. Called in and didn't realise its so popular you have to book a table. The lovely staff promptly found us a table. Breakfast was delicious, Victoria sponge was a hit and generous portions on both. Great coffee too. Definitely worth a visit!!”
