About Coffee & Cream

The menu at Coffee & Cream stretches from sandwiches through to full roast dinners, with a lamb dinner among them, at this cafe on Nottingham Road on the main road running through Eastwood. Breakfast and brunch run alongside, with toast served next to the cooked breakfast, and the kitchen can handle vegetarian choices and swaps on request, such as unbuttered toast or sliced bread in place of buttered. The building holds more seating than the frontage suggests, so there is room to sit without booking, and tables are taken on a walk-in basis rather than by reservation. A step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without a kerb or stair to manage, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. The doors open daily, Sundays included.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the generous portions of fresh, tasty cooked food, with the lamb dinner singled out and a menu that runs from sandwiches to full roast meals. Close behind are the friendly, welcoming staff, described as helpful and warm to first-time visitors, and one says they gave a daughter a lolly. Several mention value for money, and one brunch diner notes good food delivered quickly with nice toast. A diner with egg and dairy allergies says the kitchen swaps the egg for an alternative and serves unbuttered toast so they can bring their own soya spread, and vegetarian choices are also mentioned. Reviewers call the cafe very clean, with tables cleaned regularly, and describe it as larger inside than it looks. The one criticism is the exterior: a reviewer says the stickers on the glass cheapen the look and nearly put them off, though stepping inside was a pleasant surprise. Regulars call it a community hub, and one says staff went out of their way to serve meals for a Christmas Day event.

“The food here is good, with generous portion sizes. The cafe is very clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly giving my daughter a lolly. I probably would have visited sooner if not for the outside appearanc the stickers on the glass cheapen the look of the place and are off putting. However, stepping inside was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely come again”
