About The Old Oak
The Old Oak is a pub in Redhill at 40 Somerset Rd, with a bar billiards table inside and a large beer garden at the back. Summer brings BBQs to the garden, and live music is held at times. The bar pours Doombar and London Pride on tap, with Murphy's and Guinness on draught. Bar snacks are on hand for anyone who wants something to eat alongside a drink. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along for a pint and a game of billiards. A food van parks outside, adding another option beyond the bar snacks.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the beer, described as well kept and cold, with Doombar and London Pride on tap at one visit and Guinness on draught at another. One reviewer wanted a bit more choice on tap, though the ale they had was very well served. Close behind is the garden, called spacious and big, along with a bar billiards table, sometimes live music and summer barbecues. Several call it a friendly locals pub with a warm welcome, and one says the bar staff remember rounds. Another was impressed when the head bar person kept up a pun based conversation for over twenty minutes. A few mention a thorough refurb under new ownership, with food being introduced, and one has yet to try it. Food trucks outside draw praise too: one reviewer enjoyed barbecue and buffalo wings from Cluck, and another liked the pizza man outside while watching the football.

“Best old school boozer around. Doug and the team know what the punters want. It's always a warm welcome and the atmosphere is always good. With a dying pub trade, this boozer always delivers for a night out or when you just want a quiet pint.”

“A lovely locals Pub - reasonably priced beer. Sometimes live music & BBQ's in the Summer. The Old Oak have a Bar Billiard Table. Friendly Landlord - Dougie who keeps his beer very well. The Bar Staff are ready with a smile and remember your rounds. Not to forget the Beer 🍻 Garden and a brilliant range of bar snacks.”

“The head bar lady person really impressed me. She knew an above average number of 80's film references and even more impressively was able to keep up a pun based conversation for over twenty minutes. It was never weird, just genuinely good fun. This level of professionalism is a rare find and I can't wait to go back. Well done!”

“Not been to this pub for over 20 years and it has changed hugely for the better. Met some mates to watch the football, nice atmosphere, good beers and the pizza man outside was a good touch. Will return shortly”
