Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the setting: the Tudor beamed interior, the lovely garden and the Christmas decorations, described as beautiful and stunning. Weddings and work celebrations come up repeatedly, with one three course Christmas menu praised for great portion sizes and a Sunday roast called tasty, hot and plentiful. Diners also mention the arctic roll pudding, a good beer choice and friendly staff. Food and service draw a clear split, though. Complaints centre on kitchen errors: a Thai green curry that arrived as a green ravioli dish, burgers missing their bacon, and another curry with a few small pieces of chicken and no flavour, plus bangers and mash served in a bowl. One Christmas meal was called noisy, with no bread for the soup and gravy and cranberry sauce on the plate instead of on the side. Another reviewer reports slow drinks and an understaffed feel. A couple of diners say they won't return, while one mistaken champagne order was replaced and refunded.

“The food chosen was a green Thai curry, and bangers and mash. Both easy meals but they ran short. The Curry had about 3 x 1" pieces of chicken and the curry was a vivid green colour with no favour. The bangers and mash was served in a bowl and was not very appetising. And finally the service was not welcoming and friendly. We chose this location as we were here often years ago and it was excellent. Won't be going back.”

“Beautiful garden, the grand children loved it. Unfortunately they got the drinks order completely wrong and served and charged for a £100 bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne instead of english sparkling!!! But they did replace it and reimburse us. I would definitely go again. They need to clear tables quicker, especially in summer with wasps around.”

“The Kingswood Arms in Banstead is a great venue for a wedding, with its historic Tudor beamed interior and lovely garden giving the place real character and charm. It's the kind of setting that brings everyone together, with a warm, relaxed atmosphere that suits a celebration like this beautifully. We had our Vintage Photo Booth from Surrey FaceBooth there on the night, which fit straight into the setup and stayed busy with guests taking photos and instant prints throughout. If you're planning a wedding at The Kingswood Arms, it's a great choice and works really well with our photo booth setup.”

“The Kingswood Arms is the perfect local pub. We had our wedding celebrations here and couldn’t have asked for more. The venue, the food, the staff all incredible. We love this pub! Kelly, the manager, is fab and was so helpful during the planning and lead up to the wedding. Highly recommend it for an evening drink, a meal or hiring for a celebration.”

“First time visiting this venue this evening and sadly not great. It looked like they were understaffed. Drinks took 25minutes to arrive and items were missing(had to collect my own drinks). Our food order was incorrect. A thai green curry turned into some green ravioli dish. The burgers that we ordered with bacon came without. Food was also average. They never charged us for the incorrect dish which was good. Hoping to have a better experience next time as we have only heard good things prior. Sadly we are still yet to see that.”
