Customer Review Summary
Friendly, attentive table service is what reviewers raise most, with several singling out servers who checked in often, brought a smile and kept tables entertained. Food comes close behind. The trio roast dinner, sticky toffee and rum pudding, and rhubarb and apple crumble earn praise, as do scallops one diner calls the best they have had and a perfectly cooked steak. One reviewer suggests the calamari to start. The garden and outside space also come up, along with an atmosphere described as fun without being noisy and a live music night with friends. Criticism is milder and centers on the kitchen and the bill. One diner found the steak had too much fat despite great taste, another thought the creme brûlée disappointing though prettily presented, and one calls the food slightly pricey. Even so, many mention earlier visits or plans to return, and one couple celebrating an anniversary was handed a free brownie at the end of their meal.

“Staff was great and friendly. The atmosphere was good, we were sat in the garden back side. The food could be better. The steak had a bit too much fat for my liking but great taste, and the creme brûlée was a little disappointing for my expectations but had a pretty presentation.”

“We came here for the live music with some friends, what an amazing night! We have never been before but we will certainly be back again. Elise was so lovely and friendly and looked after a lot of people that night. Thank you”

“We had an amazing meal at this pub. Sophie gave us very good service from start to finish. She is very professional and we had some great conversations with her. You can tell she really loves her job! She even gave us a brownie for our anniversary celebration that really topped off our night. We will definitely be returning thanks to Sophie!”

“Great pub with high quality food. Nice interior and outside space. I was there for birthday lunch. I would recommend the calamari to start - very nice!”

“What a fantastic place, we've been a number of times before, and today did not disappoint. Their 'trio' roast dinner was delicious, as was their sticky toffee and rum pudding and rhubarb and apple crumble. The service was fantastic and really friendly. Thanks so much. We will be back.”
