  “Went for lunch for my birthday. There were 4 of us. Food was good. Staff were all brilliant! Just so friendly and welcoming. Maybe a bit overpriced but hey ho. Tony was particularly friendly and upbeat. Great garden.”

  “We had such a lovely time! We sat outside in the beautiful garden area and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were wonderful. We’ll definitely be back and look forward to visiting again soon.”

  “So disappointed with my roast this afternoon. The Yorkshire pudding with burnt and everything was soggy - as if it had been reheated. The chicken skin was not crispy and the potatoes were soft and had absolutely no crunch. The gravy had absolutely no flavour, was extremely bland and formed a skin very quickly as if it was heavily processed. They were also very stingy with the portion size as the only veg was one carrot and a bit of soggy cabbage underneath the chicken. You only got 1 small pig in blanket and the stuffing was soft and stodgy too. Unfortunately the standards have massively slipped here and I will not be returning for food.”

  “We waited 50 minutes for food. And we got our sides quite quickly are them had to wait 30 minutes for them to collect it then 20 to get our mains we waited so long that we wondered if she even wrote down our mains. She also asked ‘did you order sides’ so they didn’t even check that. 50 minutes yes we had 5 people but still. And I ordered pork belly and they put in right inside the gravy soaking it and making it disgusting and putting apple sauce where my skin and Yorkshire pudding is. Apple sauce with that? unexpectable facts are we’ve ordered gee before with 4 people and got our food in 20mins. I’m very disappointed today as we come here often and the service, food and cooking is very fast and good so today we felt very sad. I hope this gets forwarded to the chefs and then higher about the fact kids menu items should have options for apple sauce, PS: lettuce on apple sauce is horrible”

  “Matthew, Wouter and myself visited today! Great little hangout session outdoor! Food was top notch. Started by a couple of appetizers followed by mains. I really liked the vibe and having a real pub experience!”

  “First time visiting here for Mother’s Day lunch. One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. The Yorkshire pudding in particular is was incredible. Banoffee cheesecake dessert was so moreish I could’ve eaten a whole cake worth. Met the chef Angela and waitress Michelle, will be back if you promise they are both there”

  “Outstanding food and service really make this pub stand out. Our go-to for celebration meals out. Cozy bar inside for the winter and lovely shady terrace for the summer. It’s not the cheapest pub you’ll ever eat at but you it’s worth every penny.”
