About The Bletchingley Arms
The Bletchingley Arms is a large pub in Redhill at 2 High St, with many seats divided between the bar, a restaurant area and an awning. Outside, an on-site pizza truck sits alongside a children's playground and a set of shed pods, so the outdoor area gives younger visitors something to do as well as a place to eat. The menu is big and includes vegan options, with loaded nachos and a half rack of ribs among the dishes. A roast with Yorkshire puddings is also served from the kitchen. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food, with Sunday lunch and Christmas dinner coming up repeatedly. One praises a Christmas dinner and its cauliflower cheese, and the Yorkshire pudding the diners asked for was given free of charge. Others name loaded nachos, half rack of ribs, an open prawn sandwich with chips, and the pizza truck outside. Portions are described as generous, and one reviewer notes excellent vegan options. Close behind is the setting: a big pub with plenty of room, an outdoor area with shed pods, heated outdoor seating, a children's playground, and good treatment of children and dogs. Staff are called friendly and helpful, though one diner found service a bit slow on a busy night and another mentions a small hiccup with the drinks. The sharpest complaint comes from a Sunday mixed roast: reheated-tasting potatoes, bland undercooked veg, stodgy overcooked Yorkshire puddings and dry turkey. That reviewer, who had thought the food brilliant a couple of years earlier, felt it had gone downhill despite the large portion.

“Came here on a Sunday and had the mixed roast. Can honestly say it was one of the worst roast dinners I’ve ever had. It reminded me of the rubbish school dinner roasts. Potatoes were obviously cooked day before along with veg and heated up in the microwave. The veg was so bland boring and tasteless and undercooked. Yorkshire puddings stodgy and yet over cooked. The beef was ok turkey was dry and horrible. Yes u got a lot for ur money but I’d much rather have less and be satisfied I’d just eaten a nice meal. Came here a couple of years ago and thought the food was brilliant. Really gone down hill”

“Meet with my sister, where we had a great meal. Service was ok, but was a bit slow, no doubt due to how busy it was! We had a table under the awning which was great too. Will definitely recommend!”

“Met a friend for lunch. The place is huge, with many types of seating. The lunch crowd was small, so we were well looked after. We each had an open prawn sandwich which came with chips. Very tasty and a good portion size. Perfect place for lunch. Ive not been in the evening, so can't comment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very happy with choice.”

“Stopped by chance at the Bletchingley Arms for lunch yesterday. What a lovely pub. Food was great, freshly made and generous portions, with excellent vegan options. We were really impressed. Our server, Katie, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Great little playground for the children too. Will definitely be back! ❤️”

“Family night out to celebrate our daughter's 27th birthday. Food was great along with the service despite a small hiccup with the drinks but all good nonetheless.”
