Kings Head Horley is a pub in Horley at 63 Balcombe Road, open daily. The kitchen serves a British food menu that includes roast dinners, and the bar pours a selection of ciders and beers, including ales. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff, with several praising bartenders who find time to make eye contact during a busy service and a manager described as vibrant and great. The Sunday roast is the standout dish: one group of four called the meat cooked just right and the veggies spot on, while another reviewer simply calls the food the best in Surrey. Close behind is the dog menu, which a couple of reviewers mention as a reason they like the pub, alongside good ales, unique ciders and a welcoming atmosphere. A family appreciated how children were welcomed, including a kind approach to their special needs daughter and two roses handed out on Valentine's Day. The complaints are small. One diner found the roasties needed more crunch, and another says the food and final bill took a while to arrive. One reviewer noticed the team looked stretched thin, yet a server still made about five trips to keep their table sorted. Another reviewer suggests exploring the back patio and garden rather than staying in the front bar.

“We came to the kings head horley for lunch today with our two young daughters and we had such a wonderful experience. We were served by Jodie and she was very friendly and kind to us - and especially to our special needs daughter. We were given two roses as it was Valentine’s Day (a lovely touch) It’s rare in this day and age for children to be welcome in a pub so this was much appreciated. The food was good - fab options for children, but what really made it fantastic was the attentive staff. Will definitely return again soon.”

“A classic pub providing great food every day at a very good price. The pub has a homely feel to it and a relaxing atmosphere with both comfortable seating and two fireplaces. A large beer garden provides a great place to chill out in the sun or under the shade throughout the year. Enjoy great food and drinks all year-round.”
