  “Our waitress Holly, was outstanding. The birthday lady has dementia and Holly provided excellent service. She answered all our questions and supplied us with the extra utensils that were required. The food was great and the family atmosphere was excellent. We all had a wonderful memorable day and thanks to Holly for making it so easy to venture out with our dear birthday girl.”

  “What a fantastic lunch…. We spend the day out at Hever castle and we’re absolutely starving after the amount of walking we’ve done… The Red barn definitely came to the rescue!! We had some delicious sandwiches and enjoyed a beautiful glass of wine, Whilst celebrating my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed (and wore) coffee outside in the sunshine watching the world go by… Thank you so much to an amazing team that looked after us and made my husband feel extremely special at his tender old age, food was incredible and so were the team, you should be extremely proud of what you have and what you do so well.”

  “We hosted my Dad's 80th party at the Red Barn in their secret garden room. Lottie was absolutely fantastic as event organiser, communication was fantastic and she went out of her way to ensure we had everything just so. On the day Lottie and her team were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. The whole event ran to schedule and the food was amazing. Everyone who attended the party had a fantastic time and so many of the guests praised the venue and staff. I am sure you'll get more bookings from this that attended. Red Barn has become a family favourite and someone we now often meet for special occasions or catch ups.”

  “We had our wedding reception in the secret garden area and it was the best day. Staff were so great and the place looked incredible. All our guests had high praises for the venue, food and staff. Would highly recommend.”

  “£18 for a bare burger? Don't bother. I’ll let the photo do most of the talking, but this was a massive disappointment. The burger we received looked nothing like the description on the menu. Pointing this out to the staff they gave us excuses stating others, noone from our table but other customers sometimes request for that stuff to be taken out. Like okay.... But we didn't, we ordered expecting what is stated. So we order salad, problem solved.... NO We had to wait a long time for the salad to arrived, the "effort" was laughable! A tiny side of lettuce, a few slivers of onion, and a single tomato to be shared across five burgers. Save your money. For £18, you are getting a bare burger and chips, and absolutely no value.”

  “Really lovely pub, quiet and tucked away. Food was delicious! Genuinely the best fish & chips I’ve ever had in my life, the fish batter is so crispy and the sticky toffee pudding was incredible. The focaccia with the garlic spread was amazing and the hummus is stunning!!! All the staff are super friendly especially Tia, Emma and Dan! Will definitely be back again soon”

  “Tuesday lunchtime, the pub was fairly quiet but not empty. We had the pork chop and the cod loin - both were excellent. Friendly service, low beams, fireplaces (not lit in the middle of August, of course) and most importantly, a good hand pulled pint of Young's London Original. It was the only cask on tap but the dray was delivering when we arrived, so I'm sure this has been remedied by now 😀”

  “Really nice pub with good food. The service is friendly and the vibe inside is really nice with other pub goers seeming super friendly and chill. Lots of seating and tables. The food was good. Baked Camembert starter was delicious. The fish I had was really nice too with good flavours however it was just slightly overcooked for me (it wasn’t super overcooked or anything but it has been cooked a tiny bit longer than that just cooked point).the sauce the fish was in was also a little bit too salty for me. The pie and mash was really nice too.”

  “We recently held our combined wedding party and 40th birthday celebration at The Secret Garden at the Red Barn in Lingfield, and it was absolutely perfect! The venue itself is stunning – so many of our guests commented on how wowed they were by the beautiful aesthetics and atmosphere. The food was incredible, with the team being flexible and accommodating to our requests (we opted for fewer sandwiches and more of their amazing stuffed Yorkshire puddings, pork belly, and sausage rolls – all of which were a huge hit)! I noticed a few guests checking out the menu to plan a return visit! Communication throughout the planning process and on the evening itself was excellent. The staff were so helpful and provided flexibility for us to setup and clear up. They also catered brilliantly for food allergies, including coeliac and nut allergies, which gave us real peace of mind. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to the team for helping make our celebration so special – highly recommended! A special thanks to Lottie for her incredible advice, organisation and communication throughout and to John who led a fantastic team on the night, checked in with us at various points, topped up my drink every time I walked past (!) and ensured everything ran to plan.”
