About Nottingham Knight

Nottingham Knight is a chain pub on Loughborough Road in Nottingham, just off the A52 roundabout that shares its name. The menu runs to 53 dishes of comfort food, including halloumi fries, gammon steak, a large selection of burgers and a sharing platter. Desserts include a chocolate brownie and vegan ice cream, served with a choice of sauce. Food and drink are ordered at the counter, and the large eating area is joined by a garden. Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the friendly, quick table service, with one server after another described as friendly, polite and attentive, and the food is called delicious and good value. Halloumi Fries get named as delicious but on the salty side, and a sharing platter and tortilla wrap are the focus of a complaint about overcooked chicken strips. Diners also enjoyed the quiz, and a rugby club praised the separate area and garden set aside for its group. Group visits, including a care centre outing and a wake, drew praise for helpful staff. The complaints are varied: one reviewer calls the menu boring, with 26 burgers and rainbow salads, and another calls the pub run down and poor value after a shandy and crisps cost a lot. A care group had two meals arrive nearly 10 minutes late, and a gammon steak came out only lukewarm, so staff apologised and refunded it.

“This used to be a really great place years ago, popped in for a quick drink in the day…well…what a run down place it is… And v poor value for money, 1 1/2 pints of Carling lager shandy and a small bag of crisps, £9.80…. Looked around at the food one or two people wee having and the prices on the menu….glad we didn’t eat! We won’t be going back…!”

“Boring menu , rainbow salads are not pub classics never ever . We struggled to find something we liked so will not be returning whilst this menu is in place . Too many burgers ( 26!!). No wonder itvwas very quiet”

“Went with wife , I had sharing platter not brilliant as the chef had totally overcooked the chicken stripes. Also my wife had a tortilla wrap and he murdered that to the point of being crispy .Beer was OK though. I think the chef needs retraining or get a job you like and care about.”

“Thank you so much to Deborah and her team for looking after us so well this weekend. Our rugby club were staying next door at the Premier Inn for our tour and this was the perfect venue for our needs. A separate area put aside for our exclusive use and use of the garden too. We really enjoyed our time. Thank you so much.”

“Just had a wake after my dads funeral here. The food was excellent and good value. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. Thank you.”
