  “Modern, bright and clean. It has a reputation for good food but in my opinion lacks a bit of atmosphere. Can get busy at times with large groups but generally fairly quiet.”

  “I went for a Sunday lunch menu. I had a goats cheese starter which was fairly decent, if a bit basic (clearly assembled from pre-bought supplies), that's where it went downhill. The roast sirloin dinner was genuinely vile. The beef was all sinew and fat, the roast potatoes were rock hard and flavourless, the cauliflower cheese tasted like it was cooked days ago and the gravy was like dirty dish water. The waiting staff were friendly and did everything you expect though. I suspect new ownership have came in and ruined what made the place decent before.”

  “Popped in for a quick drink, decided to have a burger! Blimey, it was huge and very tasty. Nice staff, big restaurant part, which wasn't busy at all when we went in early doors. Going to pop back on a weekend to see what it's like on a busy night.”

  “Unfortunately gone significantly downhill since the change of ownership. We went in a few weeks ago. Were ignored for ages until we stopped someone to ask them to seat us. All the staff were miserable. Food order came out wrong and then my chips were undercooked. My partner's pie was mostly water under the lid. Might give it another go in 6 months and will change my review if they improve. I hope they do, as RA used to have the nicest pub food in Rudd.”

  “We could not be more happy with our visit. Delicious food, outstanding service. We had the Posh Sunday Roast and it didn't disappoint. Amazing quality and very cosy premises. We will visit again.”

  “Absolutely amazing as always. Crab was on the menu (it appears once a year for a period of time) and I snuck in on my lonesome just to have it, I’d seen it on the specials board the afternoon before and it had been playing on my mind since then. Brilliant! The service, the quality of the food - crazy good. Thank you!”

  “We went on a Tuesday afternoon so it was really quiet but the service was good and the food was out quickly. We had camembert to start which was delicious! Then we both had the beef burger for main. My husband loved it, but it was abit too many different flavours for me. But that's just personal reference!”

  “Lovely, well presented food. They clearly have someone in the kitchen who understands flavour and technique. Service is excellent, friendly but polite and not overbearing. Wish I'd taken more photos, but I was too busy enjoying food! Will go back.”

  “Update: had lunch here and remains 5 star, soup and a sandwich was delicious. I love coming back. Old: Had an awesome Saturday lunch here. We had the halloumi and mushroom burger and the beef burger with pulled pork special burger. I must say the halloumi vegetarian burger was just awesome. And the pulled pork was great to. It came with a side of chips and coleslaw, and again these sides were both great, and don't say that often about coleslaw! This was the first time I have been here, and I would def be back. I will reccomend this place to anyone.”
