  “We had our wedding here and what an amazing day it was! Shereen was incredible throughout all the planning - a credit to the venue. Her and the team nailed it on the day, and in the run up to the day. The planning was so precise and all of the details were perfect. We are so grateful for all of you - thank you for everything you did. If you are considering this place for your wedding go for it!! We are so happy and wouldn’t have changed a thing”

  “Impressive pub with beautiful old decor, cosy seating, lovely friendly staff and excellent cask beer on top from local and surrounding breweries. Vegan food choices on the menu and very dog friendly - treats and water station available. Can stay over in a Campervan in the car park for your custom too 😊”

  “An absolutely gorgeous pub, very well laid out with many independent real ales on tap. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. The seating is varied from communal to dining to relaxed, so there's something for everyone. There are also great bands and events by the looks of it. They have vegan and gluten free options too, but we only ate pints. We stayed in our campervan via BritStops stopover and the staff were accommodating and helpful.”

  “God I love this pub! Every single meal I’ve had here has been just perfect. Today I had the Gaucho chicken and bacon salad and it was probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The staff are brilliant; so friendly and welcoming. Oh and the music is always first class!”

  “Stayed at the Embankment Sunday till Tues in my motorhome, the food was very good, staff were great, polite and very helpful with all things touristy. A pub worth a visit when in Nottingham.”

  “In the Autumn, I attended a wedding at The Embankment as the photographer "Relaxed, good food, good beer and good company" was the vibe and they absolutely nailed it.   “I've been here on multiple occasions for drinks and recently food. It's a nice space with a lot of character. Staff are super friendly and I must recommend going for Sunday lunch. The prices may seem a little steep at first but for the amount you get and the quality it's more than worth it. I would suggest the three meats roast for the hungry or large appetite. There are also great vegetarian roasts on offer and a great selection of drinks on offer. Pleaee note, best booking ahead but they can cater to walk-ins if you find space.”

  “Cracking pub, easily my favourite during our recent stay for a few days in Nottingham. The building is superb, with the internals furnished and decorated really well and done so in the spirit of the building's origins. It has an interesting history worth reading up on. There are plenty of seating areas all with their own character, it is like a Tardis as keep finding more areas and nooks. Great range of beers on keg and cask, and a well stocked fridge with a decent discount if taking them away - I grabbed a couple. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and clearly have a passion for the beer they are serving. If we go back to Nottingham, this will be a must visit for us. We didn't eat here so can't comment on food, so regard the 5 stars for food as for drink instead! p.s. I will let you know how good the Vault City Creme is once I've drunk it!!”

  “This Castle Rock pub is great. Lots of space and lots of outdoor space some of which is covered for rainy days or shade for sunny days. We went with friends for a Sunday roast. Food took quite a while to come but when it did we totally forgot about that. It was amazing and huge! Good value for money. There were so many different veggies, roast carrots and potatoes, mash, green beans, broccoli, red cabbage and then a huge piece of stuffing, Yorkie and the meat. And one of us had the veggie option which looked good. My husband made the comment that he’d have liked it on a bigger plate but then we decided that we actually liked it all piled up as you kept getting surprises as you went down through it and the food stayed hotter. The beers at this pub are brilliant. They have a huge range of craft beers, real ales and more. We sat in the conservatory to eat then moved outside for a final drink in very slightly cooler air. The staff were friendly.”
