About Air Hostess
Air Hostess is a pub on Stanstead Ave in Nottingham, a freehouse that opened in July 2020 after the local community bought it and now owns it. Seating is split between a bar area and a restaurant area. The kitchen cooks homemade pub classics every day, including fish and chips and roasts. The bar pours a wide range of drinks, with wines and beers among them. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along for a meal or a drink. Reservations are required, and the pub takes bookings for parties as well as smaller tables. A playground sits outside for children.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food at this community-run pub, singling out the lasagne as "the star of the show" alongside fish and chips, roasts, and a sticky toffee pudding with custard. Presentation comes up repeatedly, with diners describing the plates as beautifully presented and the portions as hearty. Close behind is the service, which several describe as friendly and quick even when the pub is busy on a Friday evening or Saturday night. One diner with a nut allergy says the staff made them feel safe. Families mention a kids menu with plenty of choice, including fish goujons made fresh, and a playground outside. Drinks earn praise for a wide range, and the atmosphere is called warm and cosy. The main caveats are noise, with one reviewer finding it hard to hear on a busy Friday, and one critical review describing a chewy steak served on thin sliced bread with lukewarm chips, where staff did not seem bothered when told. Several diners say they have booked again.

“Fantastic community run with the yummiest of food! Staff are attentive even when under so much pressure on a Friday evening with so many parties. Just a bit loud so hard to hear if you have difficulties, but that's no fault of the pub. Just the popularity of it. Beautifully decorated inside! Our average price includes wines, beers, main and dessert. Food is reasonably priced, portions are great 😋”

“Opened July 2020, The Air Hostess is a freehouse bought for the community, by the community. We're a dog friendly pub and pride ourselves on being a community village pub in every sense. Our kitchen serves the great, homemade pub classics every day and our bar offers a fantastic selection of tipples. If you are a first-time visitor, or one of our many investors from the local community and are joining us for an evening get together with friends and family or a nice cold pint in our beer garden, you'll always be greeted with a warm welcome. We look forward to pulling you a pint soon, Mark, Rach, Henry & Team”
