About Riverside Farm - Farmhouse Inns
Riverside Farm - Farmhouse Inns is a pub on Tottle Rd in Nottingham, next to the Travelodge. The carvery serves a selection of meats and vegetables with beef dripping roast potatoes, and a meat-free carvery option runs alongside it. A buffet breakfast sets out a cooked spread, and guests toast their own bread. On the dessert side, the Biscoff cheesecake is one option, and the kitchen makes its cakes and desserts on site, so they can be taken away. Tables can be booked.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the carvery, praising the choice of meats with fresh vegetables and the beef dripping roast potatoes, with several calling it good value. The buffet breakfast is close behind, where black pudding and bacon get praise, the sausage is called a little bland, and one reviewer suggests getting bread toasting while choosing food. Desserts split opinion: the biscoff cheesecake is called perfect and a take-away brownie is liked by one, while another found the brownie a little burnt around the edges. Many describe friendly, welcoming staff and a clean pub, and a wheelchair user found plenty of room to move. The recurring complaint concerns staff attitude and upkeep. One diner felt the team seemed bothered on a second visit and overheard a server talking about their partner, while another cites scratched tables, shaggy carpets and a dated feel. The meat-free pastry pie of cheese and potato was called not good. One reviewer who raised the breakfast quality was brought the manager, who offered plenty of answers to put things right.

“As a disabled person, I found Riverside to be especially welcoming, with plenty of room to negotiate my wheelchair. The staff were very friendly indeed and the food service quick and efficient. I was very impressed and will certainly visit again. Also, extremely reasonably priced!”

“Standard carvery offering. Veggie option was a cheese and potato pastry pie but it wasn't good. Meat free carvery option also available. Meat eaters in the group really enjoyed the carvery especially the beef dripping roast potatoes. Food was good value for money.”

“Firstly the carvery is top notch. Staff are super friendly and quick. However, it’s clearly underfunded as there’s a dated feel and lots of scratched tables and shaggy carpets. It’s not a place to enjoy a good drink but for a speedy and tasty big plate of carvery you can’t complain. Super affordable and great food.”

“Had table booked for 5.30pm and no issue with being slightly early and guided to our table by Ela. Service was swift and welcoming. The pub is located next to the Travelodge and easy to simply walk round to. Great atmosphere in the pub with familes and couples enjoying a meal. Food was served quickly and fabulous quality and lovely and hot. Carvery was a great selection of meats with vegs, all fresh and really good quality. Fabulous value for money and a lovely desert to take away, freshly made on site. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning, and having the pub next to the hotel is a real plus for hotel guest. Massive thank you to Ela and her team for an amazing welcome, super food and fabulous service. Thank you.”

“Why do I give it 4 stars with an all day breakfast like this?? Because the quality of the sausages and bacon were good I was asked what the food was like and I gave them an honest answer. The waitress got the manager and she gave me plenty of answers to put things right. I left with a satisfactory response”
