About The Huntsman
The Huntsman is a village pub in Strumpshaw, Norwich, at 41 Norwich Rd, and it houses CUT, a steak, game and chops restaurant, with rooms to stay for overnight guests. CUT runs as one half of the pub, while the other half keeps a country pub format with its own classics menu. The steak list includes fillet and T-bone, ordered with a choice of sauces and sides. A roast dinner comes with a huntsman portion, served with beef, cauliflower cheese, carrot and swede mash, and gravy. The bar pours drinks on tap, so the pub works for a drink without a meal. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is the main draw, with diners praising the fillet, the shared T-bone and the pork tomahawk in the CUT dining room, all described as cooked beautifully. Close behind is the roast dinner, where one reviewer raves about tender beef, creamy cauliflower cheese and plenty of gravy. Sides and sauces get attention too, including brown butter mash, spicy hispi cabbage, Binham blue cheese sauce and café de Paris. Others single out the scallops, the haddock with homemade chips, the triple cheeseburger from the Thursday menu, the Scotch egg starter and the flat iron Friday. Cheesecake and mousse are named among the desserts. Reviewers describe the staff as friendly and the prices as reasonable, and a few mention the sunny patio out back. One returning visitor notes a new chef, better gluten free choices and hopes the quality holds. No recurring complaints appear. One reviewer closes the night with a complimentary dram of whiskey.

But CUT offers perfectly good quality perfectly cooked your liking meats with tasty sides we had the brown butter mash, which was lovely and the spicy hispi cabbage. And you mustn’t forget to order some sauces we had the local Binham blue cheese sauce and the café de Paris. We share the T-bone and the pork Tomahawk getting four cuts in two. “Really enjoyed our meal at The Huntsman! The fillet steak was absolutely fantastic, cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The Scotch egg starter was also really good, and the mousse dessert was a great way to finish the meal. Everything we had was delicious and the quality of the food was excellent.
