  “Great food, really enjoyed myself as a solo traveller. Not too busy, but they had some sort of celebration going on on the terrace which made it feel merry. Got the chef pie of the day (delicious sausage and onion) with mash and peas, and a indulgent brownie and icecream desert that had two layers of different chocolate drizzles. Along with a couple of pints of coke. Came to just under £30 and I am still feeling quite full the next morning.”

  “We came to the Oaklands Hotel to try out their 2 main meals for £14.95 deal in the restaurant. An amazing selection of meals, very hearty. Accompanied by a great range of drinks at the bar. The staff were so welcoming and very attentive. The four of us left full and excited to return. Being a member of Our Norfolk, this is definitely a venue we will be adding to our must gos!”

  “We travelled from Newcastle to surprise our amazing friend for her birthday, she told us this was her favourite place for carvery and I can see why! Beautiful place, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was next level, absolutely divine! We can see why it's a favourite of our friends and we loved the place that much we are looking at having our wedding reception there! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to everyone! Thank you again everyone at The Oak Bar and Terrace, we will be back soon!”

  “Mother's day reservation here, the food we ordered had to be decided before getting there, that is understandable. The fish & chips I got were relatively decent, good portion of chips, fish was really good, light batter with crispiness, very much a treat. My starters, the halloumi sticks came with barbeque sauce, little spicy tang but not too hot. Overall a decent place for an occasion, food wise, you will be satisfied.”

  “First time trying this place after seeing so many good pictures on Facebook and having invitations to go there, i went today first time and all i have to say is that if it wasnt shift manager ryan our experience would have been much much worse…staff on shift were miserable and no costumer experience at all, food arrived not how we expected which is a shame for such lovely place :( And all i can say is: manager ryan is absolutely friendly, super costumer service focused and promised our next experience would be much better so i think well give it another try instead of just scratching our restaurants list…and thats what everyone needs…knowing that even when things go bad, there’s always someone you can talk too, is there to listen and promise a better experience next time”

  “Had a lovely Sunday roast here. Everything was super yummy. It could have been a little hotter, especially as we ate at 12 but other than that it was really delicious and will definitely come back again! Reasonably priced too!”

  “Easy to book a table online. Ordering system via the app is sufficient and easy to use. Great selection of drinks both non alcoholic and alcoholic. Sauvignon Blanc from Bew Zealand is top class! Very friendly and helpful staff, tasty food and wonderful outdoor area with heaters and blankets. There was a small issue with some of our food which didn't come out for a while but it got resolved promptly and we were offered free drinks straight away. Great customer service. We will definitely go back!”

  “Great experience. Had the all you can eat steak tonight, and I must say I was impressed. Everything was cooked to order, medium rare and as much mac and cheese as you can eat. I would recommend this place if you fancy yourselves as a carnivorous character.”
