Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to the food and the setting, with the wisteria and low lighting repeatedly described as beautiful and special for birthdays and a wedding breakfast in the Wisteria Terrace room. Reviewers single out the modern Asian cooking, naming the tomahawk, crispy calamari, fluffy bread and crunchy fries, and one recommends the peach margarita. Service is close behind, with several calling the staff friendly and attentive, including for a large group. The caveats are specific. One reviewer found the chicken Milanese and a burger bland and the wait for meals long, and felt the price was high for what arrived. Another found the main dishes a bit too salty and the room a little cold. A third was disappointed to be seated outside rather than inside, and one disliked walking past people smoking at the entrance. One guest who called it expensive still found the food excellent, and a wedding party were welcomed with Prosecco on arrival.

“I brought myself and my daughter down to Newcastle from Scotland for her birthday and she decided she wanted to go to Victor’s for her birthday dinner as it looked amazing in the pictures , unfortunately that was the only good thing about it. The waiting staff were brilliant couldn’t fault them however we waited ages on our meals coming. I ordered the chicken Milanese which I thought would be more appealing than it was! Unfortunately just some fries, bland breaded chicken and a few slices of rocket. My daughter ordered the burger with fries and she didn’t finish it Due to being too bland. The pricing was a bit much for what we ordered and I feel it’s a bit hyped up for what the experience actually is. Also didn’t like the fact u have to walk by people smoking right outside the entrance to get in and out. Nice looking aesthetically tho.”

“As a Londoner who loves food and experiences. I have to say Victors is amazing. The food , the decoration , the drinks!! (I recommend the peach margarita) and everything was incredible. The food came quickly with the bread being fluffy, the tomahawk being well seasoned. The calamari crispy and full of flavour. The fries crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Some of the best food I’ve had in Newcastle! Our group was massive and Georgina and Siri made sure we were taken care of from the time we arrived to the time we left. Will 100% be back.”

“Beautiful birthday meal at Victors Newcastle 🌸✨ I visited Victors Newcastle for my birthday and honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. The restaurant is absolutely stunning — the beautiful wisteria, elegant decor and lighting create such a gorgeous atmosphere and make the whole experience feel really special. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with plenty of flavour. Everything we ordered was lovely, and the presentation was just as impressive as the surroundings. The service was fantastic too — friendly, attentive and made us feel really welcome throughout our visit. It was such a lovely birthday experience, and I’d definitely recommend Victors Newcastle for a special occasion or even just a beautiful meal out. The atmosphere alone is worth visiting for! 🌸🥂 5 stars from me — I’ll definitely be back! ❤️”

“Today we celebrated the wedding of my son and his new wife, with a fantastic 4 course wave menu meal at Victors. We were in the Wisteria Terrace room. What a perfect room to host a wedding breakfast. From the Prosecco on arriving, through the meal (excellent food) until we all left, everything was superb. The staff decorated the room for us with things that we left the evening before, so it looked perfect for the wedding. Georgina and Shanika were the perfect hostesses and looked after us so well. Thank you to Scott for liaising with the bride and groom to help make their day special. We were very impressed with Victors. Would highly recommended them for anyone celebrating a special occasion.”
