“Being here several times before and had real nice food. Booked it for Valentines night because they do fantastic steaks down there inc a 40oz Tomahawk. Unfortunately, when we got there, it stated on the menu, but you have to give them 24 hours notice for the Tomahawk steak, surely something like this should be stated on their online menu ! I went to the next best option which was a 20oz T-bone which is a big drop down five minutes later the waitress come over and said they’d run out of T-bone steaks and that they sold quite a road of them that day but I found very hard to believe as it was only 7 pm and not many people go for a 20 ounce T-bone in the daytime. Absolute nonsense for a steakhouse so we left as the next size down was only 10oz. I was already stated we’d been there before numerous occasions and it’s always been friendly cozy place this time it seemed to have a few regulars setting on the tables close to the bar swearing and being quite loud, not a very good atmosphere for a restaurant. First time I’ve ever been in a restaurant but I’ve left being very disappointed without even having any food, we were in there for about 15-20 minutes and the swearing which was continuous (quite loudly) in a restaurant made atmosphere very poor, don’t get me wrong I swear more than anyone else I can assure you, but not in a place like that. I will go back again as the food was very good in past visits.”

“Absolutely stunning food, freshly cooked and served boiling hot. We had the Wednesday pie, mash and minted mushy peas special. Great value for money. Staff are very friendly. Relaxed homely atmosphere with a welcoming real log fire. We have eaten here many times, food is always excellent quality and fantastic portions. We are happy to spend an evening here with our family.”

“Got married at the Celtic Lodge on 3/10/24 and couldnt fault the venue. Was a lovely day so we opted to marry outside and caren the organiser was an amazing host looking after the details and us. We just told her what we wanted and it was all taken carenof even the decorations. I would highly recommend. Also we asked for a few vegan options for the buffet and that was taken care of and plated up per person to stop contamination from the buffet.”

“I got married here last Friday and it was truly amazing. The venue looked beautiful, everything ran smoothly, the food was absolutely stunning and overall everyone had the most amazing day.
