  “A really unique cafe/restaurant with an amazing ambiance, lovely sea view from the balcony outside, and some banging food. There’s a really great atmosphere from all of the well thought out and eclectic decor to the pleasant hum of people. The truffle fries were so addictive and my salmon bagel was LOADED! The shakes look amazing too, I didn’t get one but looking at other tables made me super jealous! Only one note, if your ex really is as mild as that chilli oil, it’s a good thing you left.”

  “What a lovely trip to the Observatory so much to nose at inside the café, honestly so much to see, quirky art, fun vibes, aeroplane seats and stools and couches. Teapot lamps and vintage crockery. We had pizzas, sharer boards and sides, so much food had to bring some boxes home! Delicious food, special pizzas in evening. Balcony seating with glass balustrade so views to the mumbles and beach. Stunning setting and fab service throughout. Will be back”

  “Had a great brunch there - excellent cheery service even though it was getting busy, lovely food (see photo), and a chatty but not oppressively loud atmosphere. Lots of quirky aspects to look at (airplane seats, jazz news wallpaper): but if you can get a window table then you also get some great views along the beach. It did look really busy the day before with hot and sunny weather so it is clearly popular, and for good reasons.”

  “Heard about this place on tick tock so decided to take my family here to see for myself. Lovely service, food was really nice and we all enjoyed. Its right on the beach so beautiful views. I loved the warm welcome when we arrived and the "thank you for coming", after we left. I will definitely return”

  “Nice place to stop for a meal or drink. Good quality food and service, lovely beach side verandahs to enjoy in good weather. They do a nice milk shake there but better to ask for no ice if you prefer.”

  “"I visited The Observatory and was really impressed by the ambience. Even though it was a bit too cold to sit outside during this visit, they have a fantastic balcony with a beach view that would be absolutely perfect for the summer months! The food was great—they have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from. I had garlic pizza bread and the chicken wings, both were full of flavor and very tasty. It’s a cozy spot to sit inside during the winter, but I’m already looking forward to coming back when it’s warmer to enjoy that balcony view!"”

  “Party of 10 visited for coffee and milkshakes. Service was exceptional, they were busy but the young man went out of his way to accommodate us. The coffees, hot chocolate lux and milkshakes were all superb. The food looked amazing so we will be going back for brunch tomorrow. Friendly efficient staff and lovely ambiance.   “Another night and more good food and lovely drinks. The place is the same eclectic mix of chaos and cosy ..it's lush. All good and we will be back in the future. Thanks to all the staff involved. Magic. Friday night and we popped out for some food. The Observatory is such an interesting, eclectic mix — and it really works! We had the mezze sharing board and a few drinks. Both the beer and wine were spot on, and the food was perfect. The place was busy but not too loud or hectic, just a really good atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back”
