About Chopsticks Chinese Takeaway
Chopsticks Chinese Takeaway is a Chinese takeaway restaurant at 4 Lletty Nedd in Neath, working from a menu in which every dish carries its own number. Number 40 is the special triple mushrooms delight, so a customer can order it by number alone. The same numbered list covers ribs and salt and pepper chips, which sit alongside the other dishes of a Chinese takeaway. Orders can be placed through the website, and card payment is available there.

Customer Review Summary
Salt and pepper chips are the most praised item, with one reviewer calling them the best they have had at a Chinese takeaway and another praising the curry and fried rice alongside them. Others describe food that is fresh, tasty and full of flavour, with good portions, and one new customer found the website easy to use and the delivery on time. Against that, a sizable share of reviews describe orders that go wrong. Reports include cold or just warm food, soggy floury batter on prawns, rock hard ribs, cloggy fried rice, and crispy duck whose plum sauce arrived in a separate pot and tasted like sweet and sour. Longtime customers say standards have slipped. Missing items recur: one customer was promised credit for forgotten ribs, then told staff had no record of it, and another's special triple mushrooms delight, listed with king prawns, chicken and beef, arrived as only mushrooms.

“I have been a regular customer here for some time and have always ordered for collection. However, on this occasion, July 10, 2026, at 21:10, my partner placed an order for pickup. The food was completely unacceptable: the chips were raw, the batter was uncooked, the chicken was undercooked, and the curry sauce was unusually spicy. As a result, I had to discard the entire meal, as I did not want to risk becoming ill from consuming half-cooked food. I noticed that the regular owner was not there this evening. It is a shame because the quality is normally acceptable, but this experience has turned me off completely. They are lucky that I am not reporting this incident to Environmental Health, but due to these serious food safety issues, I will not be returning.”

“Great Chinese takeaway! The food is always fresh, tasty, and full of flavour, with really good portion sizes for the price. Ordered several times and it's consistently good quality. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and delicious takeaway.”

“We're new to the area, and I was a little wary of the negative reviews, but I'm so glad we ordered! The website was really professional and easy to use, and being able to pay by card was so convenient. I was able to book an evening delivery slot, and the food arrived on time, and was very tasty! We'll be ordering again :) Thank you”

“Food was great, but my mushroom dish was missing the entire meat selection 😕. Ordered no.40, the special triple mushrooms delight (it says a combination of king prawns, chicken and beef) and it was just the mushrooms :(”
