Customer Review Summary
Reviewers split sharply on Ferry House, but the pancake rolls and salt and chilli or salt and pepper chips draw the most praise, with one reviewer calling the rolls huge, crisp and stuffed full with very little grease. Close behind are the chicken balls, chow mein, foo yung, fried rice, spicy garlic chicken and red curry, described as lovely, full of flavour and good value. Long-time customers say the food has stayed the same over roughly 20 years, and several mention hot food, fast delivery, a polite lady on the phone and friendly drivers. The complaints are blunt. One reviewer found the crispy chicken and chicken balls dry and stale, with a black pepper sauce like jelly. Another called the chow mein like spoiled porridge, the pancake roll grey, and the order late. A third found the peas dark green, the onions not fresh and the spare ribs fatty, and said the Singapore curry wasn't spicy enough. One reviewer says it is usually closed, though the food is great when open. Others praise the delivery arriving within half an hour.

“Stunning food, salt and pepper chips were lovely, Singapore curry wasn't really spicy enough, red curry tho so I was happy, not sure if its the same for normal chicken curry. Fried rice really good, spicy garlic chicken very nice. Excellent, will order again and the cheapest food for a while! Bargain”

“Last had takeaway from ferry house about 20 years ago it was good then and indeed still the same. I was craving a takeaway and rang to ordered delivery to Port Talbot. Lady on phone was helpful and said delivery would be an hour but it was about 45 mins. Driver very friendly. All in all very happy. Tasty as I remember and fresh and quality I'll be back again”
