Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the authentic, fresh-cooked Italian food, with pizza singled out for its sublime dough and tasty toppings. Close behind are the sharing plates: the burrata al pesto di pomodorini secchi, the focaccia al pomodoro and the Pane e Olio, hot crusty bread served in a brown paper bag with olive oil. Others mention the tagliatelle al ragu, a ginormous calzone classico and the paccheri with 'nduja. Reviewers also describe friendly, efficient service from an Italian family, a rustic, homey room with Italian music, a good house wine and outstanding value for money. The main complaint is pacing. One diner waited just under two hours for mains while tables that arrived later were served first, blamed too few staff, and had to ask for another drink. Smaller notes include a slightly over-salted ragu and olive oil in sachets rather than a decanter. One reviewer suggests booking a table. At one birthday dinner, staff brought out a cake with candles and sang.

“The food is extra yummy 😋 this is not just another Italian restaurant, but it is a temple of real food and culinary art! The most delicious - nutritious gastronomic pleasure we've had in a good while. The service was also excellent! Thank you Nino, and Ernesto, for having us, we are returning tomorrow evening... hungry for another incredibly tasty dinner! 👌”

“Great rustic style Italian, homey vibes and good food. By far the best Italian in a 15 mile radius, friendly staff, great menu with something for everyone and a reasonably extensive and priced wine list. Dal Patino taps into the essence of Italian cooking, no unessescary frills. Great straight forward cooking, with some menu items that show rich culinary aptitude. Definitely a must try!”

“Authentic and delicious pizza, good variety of tasty toppings, sublime dough. We are very fussy when it comes to pizza and they were perfect. Good house wine too. Friendly welcoming and efficient service. Nice atmosphere for early on a Saturday evening. Would return and recommend.”
