  “My partner and I came for lunch at the restaurant. It took a bit of time to get seated and served, though it's worth noting that the waitress was working the entire restaurant by herself when we arrived. We ordered the risotto and the lasagna, and the food was delicious. The service was kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place!”

  “Newly renovated and renamed family owned Italian restaurant on George Street. This establishment has been updated and refurbished to a sleeker style. The menu has been fine tuned and slimmed down to reflect more modern tastes. I have dined here when it was known as Cafe Centro. The renamed restaurant still serves the hearty home cooked comfort Italian food with a new twist. The meatballs simmered in tomato sauce were tender and light. The tomato sauce was superb with the tomato taste coming through without any other ingredients overpowering the fresh tomatoes. Fried zucchini had the perfect crispy airy fried crust with the zucchini baton cooked just right inside. Not soggy nor limp but retaining the crunch. Seafood pasta was of a generous serving. Pasta was al dente. Seafood fresh and plentiful. Scarpetta ragu was tasty comfort food. The interesting dish was the Trapanese pasta in tomato sauce with sliced almonds, garlic and cheese. Almonds gave the texture and depth to this interesting dish. This reinvented and updated restaurant is a good choice for casual dining.”

  “This is a fantastic little restaurant with a great location right in the centre of Edinburgh. The decor and menu reflect a great mix of modern yet traditional Italy and the food is authentic and delicious. Very attentive staff and reasonable prices - what’s not to like?!”

  “As Italians, we were pleasantly surprised by this authentic restaurant in Edinburgh. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the manager, who was super kind and attentive. He looked after us throughout lunch in a way that was both friendly and professional. I highly recommend the ragù pasta, and for dessert, the tiramisù! 10/10”

  “Visited for my birthday lunch. Service was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Their serve delicious cocktails and great choice of wines. Fabulous menu and dishes were absolutely excellent, it’s worth mentioning their food portions are fantastic and the place has a great atmosphere! Definitely will be back !”
