Customer Review Summary

Pasta dishes draw the most consistent praise, with reviewers singling out ravioli, linguini capuliato with sun-dried tomato pesto, and strascinati with prawns as standouts, alongside starters like sauteed mushrooms and baby gem lettuce. Close behind is the wine program, with several describing a wine flight or tasting paired with antipasto and savoury bites, guided by a sommelier reviewers call knowledgeable. Service is repeatedly called attentive and personal, with staff remembering anniversaries and birthdays and offering menu or wine recommendations, and the private dining room is praised for hosting a wedding breakfast. Atmosphere is called cosy, romantic, and intimate, fitting for date nights or solo dining. However, a recurring minority found the food underwhelming: one reviewer's carbonara was dry and bland, focaccia came more like flatbread, and prawns were called tasteless, while another reviewer's monkfish was undercooked and bland enough to need added salt and chilli oil. The wine list, while praised, is noted by one reviewer as pricier. Several diners describe returning on repeat visits, including one couple back for a third time specifically for the wine.

“Food and service was amazing Charles and Troy were made our night what an awesome experience. I had a guancia di manzo al merlot with red wine barolo that Troy suggested for the food pairing that was phenomenal. We had a great dinner..Thank you guys.”

“Great service, very attentive. However the food was awful, we didn’t complain as I didn’t feel comfortable to moan in the establishment, also was my nans 80th birthday so didn’t want to fuss and embarrass her. Food was very bland, and one of us had the monkfish and unsure if it was cooked enough. Had to add lots of salt, pepper, chilli oil and flakes to give it flavour. Didn’t finish our food. Venue is lovely. Lots of choice of drinks. But food is a complete let down! We visited for a birthday so a little disappointing.”

“Great! The host and waiter were amazingly kind and inviting. The waiter was very knowledge about the menu. We loved the bread, sauteed mushrooms, and baby gem lettuce as starters. Both of our pasta dishes were so tasty! Linguini Capuliato with that pesto of sun-dried tomatoes. And strascinati pasta with prawns. The dining room was a little dark - perfect for a date, and really why other event.”
  • David Miller
“It was a few years since our last visit but it was great to see that everything was as good as it had been previously. The food and service were first class. The only negative (and not in the control of the restaurant) was the noise coming from a table of 4 people who were old enough to know better about how to behave and control volume!”
  • Olga Golovko
“Superb service, I rarely say this as it's hard to go surprise me yet this was very attentive staff who noticed a dropped napkin by a customer and would seemlessly pick it up and bring a new one before the customer realized theirs fell. I …”
