About The Mill
The Mill is a gastropub on Springfield in Middlesbrough, with parmos on the menu in original, Philly cheese steak, red and black, hotshot and festive versions. Fish and chips and a Sunday roast with cauliflower cheese sit alongside them. Dogs are welcome, and the team provides treats and water for them. Customer Review Summary
Parmos are the most frequent draw at The Mill, with reviewers naming the Philly cheese steak, original, red and black, hotshot and festive versions, served with chips. Close behind are the generous portions, which diners describe as big, alongside cod and chips, a cheeseburger, scampi, chicken kebabs, fajitas, fillet steaks and a Sunday roast whose cauliflower cheese earns particular praise. Desserts such as panna cotta and baked cookie dough get a mention too. Staff are called friendly, attentive and accommodating, with one reviewer noting a server's allergen awareness and another describing quick seating on a packed night. Dogs are welcomed with treats and water. The recurring caveat is that weekends can be very busy, and one reviewer advises booking early rather than on the day. Another says dishes were all above £20, though portions felt generous, and one order arrived wrong, which the diner called not a big issue. Several families and groups finish their plates, with one table saying everyone finished the lot.

“What a fun place! I would highly recommend the chicken parm, but only do a 1/2 portion. Great service and fun atmosphere!”

“We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here last week. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was super quick. It was the best Sunday lunch I've had in a long time, good portions and the cauliflower cheese was 10/10!”

“Walked in for a roast on a Sunday not too busy, the food was amazing £22 for the roast worth every penny, the staff were also very polite and welcoming. Very nice pub located next to North York Moors.”

“Last minute booking for 4 adults and a dog on a Saturday night (1st August)the team couldn't be more accommodating. The service given by ALFIE was excellent. From his allergen awareness to his information around the food descriptions just added to the experience. The food we ordered was varied 2 x fillet steaks, a burger and a fajitas - all superbly cooked and presented. In all a wonderful experience that has made me post this review. Congratulations to the management and his team. We will be back. The fajitas below were hoovered up 😁”
