Quick info
About The Miners Arms
The Miners Arms is a pub on High St in Middlesbrough, with a spacious main bar area that opens straight off the street. A big overhaul in recent years left the pub refurbished. Live music and DJ nights run on some nights, and afternoon karaoke gives customers a turn at the microphone. Pool and darts are set up in the pub, and Sky Sports is shown for sport on screen. The bar serves cocktails and shots, and the pub holds charity nights. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly staff and the cheap, good beer at this Middlesbrough local, describing it as a proper pub where people go to socialise. Drinks are repeatedly called reasonably priced, with one noting a pint at a low price, and one reviewer says the cocktails and shots were well made. Close behind is the entertainment: live music, a DJ, karaoke on a Sunday afternoon, and Sky sports with pool and darts, plus a charity night that one visitor enjoyed. Several mention the refurbishment, with one longtime local recalling the pub's rough reputation from decades ago and calling the overhaul impressive, describing the main bar as spacious and surprisingly bright. The only reservation comes from that same reviewer, who hopes the rebuilt town centre will bring in more punters. Otherwise the reviews are uniformly positive, and one visitor praised the staff for seeming to enjoy the night and for treating nothing as a trouble.

“I used to live five minutes walk from the Miners a long time ago 30 odd years to be exact-ish then it had a very bad reputation, rough as a badgers ar#e as the saying goes, a couple of years ago it had a big overhaul and I must admit it is impressive, we were in late afternoon, the main bar area straight off the street is spacious and surprisingly bright, not sure if they do line dancing in there, it's certainly big enough. Decent pint and not taking your eyes out. Hopefully when the "town centre" is rebuilt it will be able to attract more punters. Worth a visit!”
