About Zizzi - Manchester Piccadilly
Zizzi - Manchester Piccadilly is a restaurant on Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, with a spacious dining room where a trellis draped in vine leaves gives the space a garden feel. The menu centres on thin-crust pizzas, including the Pinoli, topped with goats cheese, mozzarella, caramelised balsamic onions and toasted pine nuts. Pastas sit alongside the pizzas, and tiramisu and cheesy garlic bread round out the menu. Lunch is offered as a set menu with 2-course and 3-course options. Groups can book in advance. The kitchen also sends out complimentary deep-fried pasta as a snack.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza is the main draw, with reviewers describing thin, crispy bases and singling out the Pinoli pizza with goats cheese, caramelised balsamic onions and pine nuts, the sticky pig pizza and a Margherita. Close behind is value, as several mention the lunchtime two and three course deals, with tiramisu and cheesy garlic bread among the choices. Others praise the crab snacks, lasagna, duck and a mushroom starter, plus the complimentary deep-fried pasta snack. Staff are described as friendly, attentive and quick even when the restaurant is busy, and one reviewer liked splitting the bill through a QR code. The recurring complaint is temperature and pace. One diner on a packed evening waited a long time for starters, got a stone cold chicken dish and then waited again for mains, while another wished the food had arrived hotter. One found the chorizo carbonara too salty. In the packed-evening case, the restaurant took all the food off the bill, leaving only drinks to pay for.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ I popped into Zizzi after work for dinner and had a nice experience overall. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty, although it could have been served a bit hotter. That was my only real downside, as everything else was enjoyable and the service was good. Overall, I had a nice meal and a relaxing evening. I’d happily visit again and hope the food is a little warmer next time.”

“If the chefs cannot handle a full restaurant then why have all the space? We came the evening before the marathon so it was very busy so I can understand some wait for the food to come out. However, 40 minutes wait just for starters and the chicken was stone cold, then again another long wait for our mains, at least they were hot. Staff were nice and it’s not their fault the food was taking too long to come out, the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review is because they took all the food off the bill so we only paid for drinks.”

“A spacious place with a good variety of Italian dishes. We tried the crab snacks, lasagna, and duck, all were tasty and well prepared. The café also serves complimentary deep-fried pasta as a snack. Prices are reasonable, and we paid £55 for two, including a drink each.”
