About Nando's Manchester - Arndale
Nando's Manchester - Arndale is a flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken restaurant at Unit R9 on the upper floor of the Arndale shopping centre in Manchester, close to Arndale Market and the High Street Entrance. Orders go through the counter, where a manager takes them, or through a self-ordering system. PERi-PERi sauces in Medium, Garlic and Hot can be tried at the table before choosing. Perinaise comes with a vegan alternative, and plain mayonnaise is not offered. The chicken burger and peri fries are among the items guests order. The team is aware of allergens, including nut allergies. Large groups are seated quickly, and the branch can fill up early, with a queue at busy periods.

Customer Review Summary
Flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken is the main draw, with one reviewer praising the extra hot chicken with garlic medium sauce and another a Medium Chicken Butterfly with peri chips and rice. The new chicken gravy gets a mention, and a Chickle burger is called alright but nothing over the top. Food is generally described as up to Nando's standards, with generous portions. The complaints are specific. One diner got regular fries instead of the peri fries ordered, only a handful of them, and garlic bread that seemed prepared long before. Another reported slow online ordering and cold food. A regular felt value could be better, found the seats too low and the drinks station cramped, and noted there is no plain mayonnaise. One felt rushed when the table was cleared right after the last forkful. Staff earn the most consistent praise, described as friendly and checking in often. Reviewers mention a large group seated instantly, real help with a nut allergy, and extra sauce brought when asked.

“I have been to nando's a couple of times before but it's my first time here. I ordered a chicken burger with 2 sides being peri fries and garlic bread. When the food arrived I noticed that only a handful of fries were provided. The chicken burger was good, however, the garlic bread seems to have been prepared a bit of long time as I would have expected it to be better, also considering other nandos. The fries were noted as the ones ordered and instead regular fries were provided rather then perio fries. So I believe the food quality and portion could be improved, whilst keeping an eye out for the food actually ordered.”

“Very impressed with this nandos. Potentially could be one of the best. Staff were friendly and very helpful with my nut allergy. Can’t wait to come back if I am in the area.”

“We got served by the lovely Fatima, she was amazing constantly making sure we have everything we need and chatting with us. The food was very good and we even got some extra sauce when we asked! We came in as a large group which in most places equals with waiting a long time before being able to get a table but we got ours instantly without any issues :) Had a lovely time”

“Nando’s at the Manchester Arndale is a pretty reliable location from the chain; it’s located on the upper floor of the mall, close to the Arndale Market and High Street Entrance. I’ve visited here a lot over the past couple of years, and while it can get very busy as a mall location, they do a good job of getting everything presentable and moving rather quickly. I do feel the aesthetics of the restaurant could use a slight refresh to meet the newer Nando’s look and feel. I find the drinks station to be too small, as I have to take off the drain and top bit of the water machine to fit my Stanley, there is nowhere to put it in the meantime, without getting in the way. I also found the seats on the tables to be way too low, especially for the larger round tables. Food Quality is usually pretty good and up to the Nando’s standards. Portion sizes are often generous too, and I enjoy my usual favourite here, a Medium Chicken Butterfly with Peri Chips and Rice, which could be better on the value for money side as of January 2026. This came to £16.50; it feels like the prices are going up every other month, but I get that this is a corporate thing and not down to this specific location. There isn’t a plain mayonnaise option, with the only options being their Perinaise or a vegan alternative, which means I have to bring my own. Staff have clear awareness of allergens, like you’d expect at any Nando’s location, with a manager taking my order at the counter. The staff, especially the ones who have been working here for a long time, are great and always deliver the best service. Some of the newer staff could do with a slight helping hand to reach those standards. On my most recent visit, I felt rushed and like a burden, even though they weren’t overly busy. They rushed to clear my table pretty much straight after I put my fork down, and I felt unwelcome to linger around. Overall, it’s a pretty good Nando’s, but a couple of improvements can be made for sure.”
