About Grand Daddys Diner
Grand Daddys Diner is a halal American diner in Manchester, at 131 Grosvenor St, with a 1950s-style interior built around an American diner theme. The menu is built on burgers, including a classic American cheese burger and a fried chicken burger, all made with halal meat. Sides run from loaded fries to skinny fries and seasoned chips. Milkshakes come in Oreo and vanilla, alongside a selection of other American drinks. Students get free fries and a drink with a burger order, which turns a burger into a full meal. For anyone skipping the bun, the Grand Daddy salad is on the menu too.

Customer Review Summary
Burgers anchor the praise, with the fried chicken burger named most often as juicy and tasty. Close behind come the blue cheese burger, the classic American cheese burger and the crazy cow burger, while the Grand Daddy salad, nachos, seasoned chips and an Oreo or vanilla milkshake round out what diners order. Several mention a burger arriving with free fries and a drink, and reviewers describe the staff as friendly, warm and kind. A couple of diners note the meat is halal. The criticisms centre on the room and value. One reviewer finds the furniture worn and in need of a refurb, and another mentions peeling seats. One finds the canned drinks too expensive, another wants the loaded fries bigger and more loaded, and a harsher review calls the meal expensive for what it was. One diner found service a bit slow but felt the food made up for it. One reviewer recalls the chef coming out to ask whether the meal had been cooked well.

“Food so good it wiped bro straight off the map. Ive never tasted an Oreo milkshake as blissful as this and my man is tongue deep in peanut butter. The burgers were orgasmically exquisite. The staff were lovely funny kind people you can tell a lot of care has been put into the food and service. Cheap but definitely cheerful and worth it Love you guys”

“I do love the price of meal deal but the service even better. Everyone smiles at me and never shows busy. When I left here, the chef went out and asked me whether he cooked well. I have to say 2days had 2meals here is the answer.”

“Absolutely disgusting 🤢 meat is so gross and I felt sick afterwards the burger is even pink. And the seats are peeling. Expensive for no reason aswell”

“The staff were extremely warm, inviting, kind and attentive. I had ordered the blue cheese burger which was fantastic and the season chips was a delight. There was also a good selection of drink for students and the atmostphere was typical and cool of a diner. Would go again”
