Customer Review Summary
Breakfast and brunch draw the most praise, led by the Big Veggie breakfast, called substantial and tasty, with the Sunshine Brunch also described as lovely. One diner found the cheddar and sweetcorn fritters a bit too crunchy. Gluten-free handling stands out: one reviewer with an intolerance was asked about the gluten free menu on arrival, and another got a roll and baked beans flagged "GF" plus a decaff coffee with a sticker. Cocktails, a burger and a twisted chicken club sandwich also earn mentions, though the chicken portion seemed quite small to one reviewer. The interior is described as cozy, eclectic and lively, with a student crowd. Other complaints include a chilly draught through the door, a broken lid on an old teapot, and one reviewer's report of seeing a mouse inside once. Service is repeatedly called friendly, quick and efficient, and one waitress, with no Guinness available, suggested a fruity cider the reviewer had not tried.

“This cozy café bar near the University of Manchester offers a spacious indoor setting with warm and inviting decor. The coffee is decent, though it may not satisfy true coffee aficionados. I tried the twisted chicken club sandwich, which was delicious, but I found the portion of chicken to be quite small, as shown in the photos. Overall, it's worth a visit!”

“As someone with a gluten intolerance, i’ve never felt so relaxed and accommodated for at a restaurant like I have here. As soon as we were walked in we were greeted so kindly and immediately asked about whether we were interested in the gluten free menu. I was spoilt for choice, it’s so nice to see allergens being taken so seriously as well as equality being maintained considering how much gluten free food/ alternatives were available as well as being priced the same! Not to mention the stunning decor, exceptional service and classy atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!”

“Waitress was brilliant, great knowledge on the beers, no Guinness unfortunately, however she did suggest a fruity cider & I hadn’t tried this before so she’s very good at her job, no pressure & nothing was a problem. Food was hot & full of flavour, highly recommend”
