About Lina Stores Manchester – Italian Restaurant, Deli & Bar
Lina Stores Manchester is an Italian restaurant, deli and cocktail bar at 17 Quay St in Manchester, opposite the Opera House. It is the business's first regional opening, and it brings the restaurant, a delicatessen and the cocktail bar Bar Lina together in one building. That lets a visit cover a sit-down meal, a drink at the bar or a stop at the deli counter. The kitchen makes its pasta fresh, with truffle pasta and crab linguine among the dishes, and the dolci include tiramisu. Two set menus, Selezione di Lina and Festa da Lina, give a fixed route through the menu.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the focaccia, served warm with olive oil and sea salt, and several call it the starter to order. The truffle pasta comes up close behind, described as full of truffle without being overpowering, alongside the crab linguine, lamb ragu, pea and mint ravioli and pici nduja. Desserts get praise too, especially the tiramisu and the cannoli filling. Diners also like the set menus, with one calling the spread good for the money, and the staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive. Drinks draw a lukewarm response: one found the peach bellini had no peach bits and another called the drinks okay. The main complaints are a crowded room, with one couple seated very close to the next table, and a sense of understaffing, with a waiter too busy to stop and bring the bill. One reviewer found the pumpkin ravioli bland and wanted more vegetarian choices. Another felt the place could be fancier for the prices. One lunch party was seated, served and out within the hour.

“I got sat quickly the waiter was fast in bringing me water and taking my order. The food came out quickly as well. I came during lunch and had the truffle pasta which is absolutely brilliant. I will definitely will be back!”

“We tried the Festa da Lina menu and it was tasty from start to finish. I really liked the pasta and grilled prawns - both were full of flavor. The tiramisu was also very good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We even met a group of Italians who told us they'd been there the day before and came back again because it was that good! Totally agree!”

“We had a lovely meal here! We went for the set menu which I highly recommend, the food was amazing and you get a great selection for a decent price. Our highlights were the focaccia, truffle pasta and tuna crudo. Drinks were okay but nothing too special. Staff were really lovely :)”

“my partner and i ordered the SELEZIONE DI LINA, which is £35pp. this was the best choice i’ve ever made, the food and spread of food is so good for the money, so so worth it. we also ordered a peach bellini each, in which were both expecting some proper peach bits but disappointingly just a no peach bits bellini, which was still tasty! if u ever order al a carte, i would definitely go for the pea and mint ravioli and the ragu parpadelle (personally not a truffle enthusiast). for antipasti i’d go for the focaccia all day every day. if i visit next time id be sure to try out all the other desserts. it acc made it funnier and more special when they were testing the fire alarms ever so often. however it seemed to me that they were slightly understaffed, the waiter was just running around and couldn’t even stop to take the bill!”

“For the ones who miss authentic Italian food- Lina is the place. Home made pasta and dolci. Mouthwatering flavours of pici nduja, crab spaghetti and best ever tiramisu. I never had such delicious fillings for canoli. Completely worth the money. The staff are very friendly and polite.”
