Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the pasta and baked dishes, chiefly the lasagne, cannelloni and spaghetti bolognese, which reviewers describe as big portions with a generous amount of mince. Close behind are the starters, with garlic bread (one calls it pizza-sized), homemade dough balls, mussels, ribs and an antipasti platter for sharing all named. The zucchini prawn tagliatelle and linguine with prawns and courgette also draw praise, and tiramisu and profiteroles are mentioned for dessert. Reviewers repeatedly call the service friendly and attentive, and the food authentic. The caveats concern value and execution. One couple found the prawn starter had hardly any prawns and was charged more than the online menu listed, plus a hefty extra for adding chicken and pepperoni to the penne arrabbiata. Another felt the arancini had been microwaved and the side salad of tomato and onion was poor for its price, and added that three or four songs played on repeat all night. One reviewer notes that a waiter's recommendation of the mussels and ribs paid off.

“Quite a nice Italian restaurant, my friends had their pasta and enjoyed them. I love a diavola, which is a bit spicy if anyone love a spicy pizza 🍕 Their garlic flatbread is like a whole pizza size as well, yum!”

“My boyfriend and I just visited Dom's italia, not only was the food amazing but the staff and service was exceptional. For the pricing, the portions were excellent (my boyfriend got the cannelloni while i got the lasagne and we shared a tomato and cheese garlic bread). Again I cannot stress this enough, the staff were absolutely lovely. They will definitely be seeing us again in the near future. I couldn't recommend this place enough!! <3”

“If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Manchester, you’ve got to go to Dom’s Italia on Deansgate. ( it’s right across the road from Deansgate station) We hadn’t booked and were so lucky to get a walk-in table and we were so glad we did! The food was absolutely gorgeous. I could eat those home made dough balls and cannelloni right now. The staff were lovely and the décor was beautiful.”

“We had such a lovely time last night with delicious food, well-paired wine and a great atmosphere. Lee, our waiter expertly recommended the mussels and ribs for starters (both divine!) followed by the pacheti genovese and linguine with prawns and courgette and both were cooked to perfection. We had tiramisu and profiteroles, finishing off a memorable meal. We were so delighted with how authentic the food tasted - our compliments to the chef! Thanks and keep up the amazing cooking.”
