Customer Review Summary
Table service is the main draw, with reviewers repeatedly crediting servers who were friendly, hilarious and quick to advise on new dishes. The food earns strong backing too. One diner calls the calamari the best they have tasted anywhere, others single out the arancini and wagyu lasagne, and families describe finishing their lasagne, pizza and pasta. One reviewer with a coeliac in the party valued the knowledgeable menu guidance, and another praised the cocktails. The main complaint comes from a single reviewer who found the house rosé like vinegar and said a server mocked them for declining it, which nearly made them walk out. Another server rescued that evening. Several describe a busy, popular room where service still stayed attentive. Reviewers often close on a server's suggestions, from a white wine one diner calls the best they have ever had to food recommendations that were spot on.

“Absolutely amazing service from Jennifer. Hands down, one of the best waitress’ we’ve ever had. From the warmth to the energy, she is a credit to this restaurant. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!”

“Overall a fantastic evening which started out poorly. Jennifer was fantastic, made us feel truly welcome and as a black member a truly valued customer, if it wasn’t for her bubbly personality of her and the great recommendations I’d have walked out. The service dealt to me by “Mirko” was awful. I tried their house rose, which was like vinegar I declined and then my partner witnessed me being mocked over me trying the wine. I’ve eaten in restaurants across the world as I travel for work so always use piccolino restaurants as I love the hospitality and experience. I’ve worked as a chef in the past and understand a bad day happens, but taking the piss out of a paying customer who then orders the top wine, disgraceful.”

“Our waiter José was hilarious! And never failed to make us laugh during a brilliant dinner out through our each wonderfully served course! Food was delicious!!! And such a lovely place filled with Italians making this meal even more authentic.”

“We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, having pre-booked a table online, lucky we did as this is a very busy popular restaurant. We were seated immediately on arrival, the service level throughout was exceptional, very attentive, chatty and knowledgeable about the menu choices, both food and drink, essential for us as we had a coeliac in our party. The food and drink were of an exceptional quality and quantity, the calamari is quite honestly to die for, and is by far the best I have tasted anywhere. We had a mix of dishes including pasta and pizza and all were cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit, and a return for us will be on the cards in the future.”
