About PappaRoti Manchester

PappaRoti Manchester is a coffee shop at Unit 1B in Manchester, where guests can try free board games while they eat buns served warm with fresh toppings. The menu lists 20 items, led by the Papparoti Buns and a Pistachio Bun, and the toppings melt over the top as the buns arrive. On the drinks side, the coffee offer includes Arabic coffee served with dates. The board games turn a quick stop for a bun and a drink into a reason to sit and play. The team explains the menu and the drink options to anyone unsure where to start.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most for the fresh, warm buns, described as soft and fluffy with toppings that melt on top, and one visitor says they match the buns once had in Dubai. A saffron bun and a chocolate kunafa get individual praise. Close behind are the matcha drinks, including a matcha pistachio latte and a matcha mango latte, along with a Spanish latte, chai and Arabic coffee with dates. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and kind, with several noting they explained the menu, and service is often called fast. Daytime is described as quiet with fast WiFi, which suits working alone, while evenings are said to be bustling, with free board games. The caveats are narrow. One reviewer found service slow and put it down to everything being made fresh. Another, who ordered a V60, found it not to their taste even after a replacement was made, and called the price extremely high for a single coffee, though they rated the service perfect.

“A good spot to try if you after a different coffee shops in the area. When we ordered, we got the buns that was fresh out the oven so it was warm and fluffy. The toppings on top warmed and melted nicely on the buns. The coffee was brewed nicely and paired perfectly with the buns. The service was good and the staff were friendly, took their time to explain the menu and drinks.”

“I was in Manchester for work, so I was there very early. I purchased a Matcha Mango Latte...it was beautiful. The staff was great, very friendly and very chatty. It was raining really hard in the morning so, not that many people there. Definitely recommend their Matcha drinks.”

“I visited this place looking for a V60, and the girl who served me was honestly excellent. She was very polite, explained the different options clearly, and took the order with a great attitude. When the coffee came, she even told me to try it and said she would make another one if I didn’t like it. I tried it and, to be honest, it really wasn’t for me. She was very kind and made me another one, which was better than the first, although still not quite right in terms of taste. The reason I’m writing this review is not because of the service, because the service was perfect. My issue is mainly with the price. £12 for a coffee feels extremely high. For that amount, I could buy a whole bag of beans and make several cups at home. Great staff and excellent service, but the pricing is very hard to justify.”

“I just wanted to take a moment to thank Zaina for her excellent service today—she was, as always, incredibly attentive and welcoming. I visit here quite regularly, and the atmosphere is consistently warm and inviting, with genuinely friendly staff. The café is always clean, and the food and drinks are fresh, well-prepared, and served promptly. It’s a great spot for both small and large groups, though I often come on my own to get some work done. The WiFi is fast, and during the day it’s pleasantly quiet—perfect for focusing. Overall, a fantastic place that I’d happily recommend to anyone. 10/10.”
