About ASAP Coffee

On Tariff St, ASAP Coffee is a coffee shop with a single room and a few steps at the entry. The breakfast menu includes halal beef and chicken options alongside cakes and pastries such as chocolate hazelnut cake. Drinks run from matcha and dirty chai to iced oat flat whites, served in takeaway cups for those heading off site or in mugs from handmade pottery for those staying in. It opens daily during the day, and it takes walk-ins rather than bookings. A pavement seating area at the front offers some shade for outdoor dining, and dogs are welcomed inside with water put out for them. High chairs are available for families with young children.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the coffee, with specifics like a dirty chai, a hot matcha, iced oat flat whites and a latte with art on top, though one calls it "normal, but nice." Close behind are the food and bakes: a breakfast described as super delicious, a chocolate hazelnut cake, good cakes and lovely pastries. Several mention the relaxed, bright and airy room, the outdoor seating, and friendly staff, with one older visitor saying a server made her feel welcome. Some describe it as study and work friendly, and one says their dogs were welcomed and given water. The main caveat comes from one reviewer who found the coffee a measly size for the price, comparing it unfavourably with a large at a chain, and another notes two or three high steps at the entrance that make it hard for wheelchairs and buggies. One diner also finds the beef and chicken halal, which they call convenient. A recurring touch is the takeaway cups, which one reviewer calls adorable.

“Had the loveliest little stop in here. Eva was a shining star, As an older person I don't get to mingle much these days but she made me feel very welcome. I hope to see this young lady more often!”

“Absolutely adorable coffee shop with all the classic options. I got the dirty chai and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. The vibe is relaxed, with easy music and handmade pottery on offer. I wish I could’ve stayed for longer, but I can also report that their takeaway cups are adorable!”
  • Katy H
“Friendly staff. Fairly decent inside, but not wheel chair or buggy friendly as theres 2/3 high steps to get in but they do have a few seats outside. I didnt eat but have given a 3 as the menu looked nice. Coffee was nice but a measly size given the price. You'd get a large at a chain coffee shop for the same price and just as tasty.”

“Came for a coffee today, very busy but the service was impeccable. Coffee was delicious and the art on my latte was delightful. Had such a lovely experience here and the atmosphere is perfect, will definitely be returning again soon!!!”

“Very cosy place and friendly staff. I always get the hot matcha from there and today I tried the breakfast which was super delicious. I also love the outdoor seating area, it’s calm and relaxing. The beef and chicken are halal as well which is very convenient for me.”
