  “I was so disappointed with fig and sparrow as I’d remember it being really nice a while back. Walked in and was ignored, cleared our own table of the last customers cups so we could sit down. We then asked what was vegan on the unmarked menu, the server told me through the cake she was eating but I couldn’t really hear her over the obnoxious loud music. When the food was ready the poor cook rang the bell but the two staff were outside chatting so he ended up bringing it over. I then went on a hunt to find cutlery while the chatting outside continued. Super dismissive staff who seemed like they really couldn’t be bothered with customers or the cafe at all.”

  “an absolute gem in the wasteland. tiny venue, kitchen and servery with huge heart, flavours and energy. Oat Mocha; dark and creamy. Turkish Eggs; light and fluffy with fire streaks. too full to try the cakes but they looked scrumptious.”

  “don’t really leave reviews but the food and coffee was amazing. very very good quality salmon and loads on there. was a bit skeptical as it was just toast w eggs and salmon but it was massive (much bigger than pollen) and so moreish, will be back!! left very happy. got a spanish latte too - could’ve been sweeter since I just like mine like that, but they fixed it up for me. lovelyyy staff alsooo”

  “Really loved it here! I got the pesto mayo + chorizo hash bites which were so fresh and delicious. Portion size was very generous also so I would say it’s good value for money. The coffee was also great and overall the place had a comfortable and friendly vibe”

  “Came here for a sit down and sandwich. The vibe in this cafe is really cute, nice music, good lighting. I’d come if you got a good amount of time to wait and natter because the food doesn’t come quickly but it is tasty ! Had a nice time overall. Also a bit crowded even on off peak times, so best for small groups.”

  “Had a great time here! The food was great, I had the chorizo bruschetta and my dad had the eggs benedict which was really nice. We ordered a side of hash browns which were slightly burnt and really hard, they were gracious enough to Change it and gave us a third on the house! The rose matcha latte was really really nice! The flavour was perfect.”

  “I visited Fig + Sparrow based on the numerous 5* reviews on Google. I came on a Friday at 1pm, and it wasn’t too busy. Perhaps 50% of the place was full. There is a good amount of seating available, and when I arrived, there was a small but delicious-looking selection of pastries and bakes on the counter. There is always a wide variety of drinks available on the menu, and a bar at the back which serves savoury food. I asked the lady if the counter items were baked fresh and if they were vegetarian (halal in my case), and she said they were baked fresh, and suitable for vegetarians and halal foodies! The staff were very inviting. The lady explained what each item was, and she even gave me her personal recommendation. 10/10 for such caring staff :) I ordered a Cinnamon Bun and Latte to eat in. Those buns looked too good to overlook. Also, exceptional presentation of all the bakery items. The Cinnamon Bun was delicious! It was sticky, not too sweet, and full of cinnamon and brown sugar flavour. The Latte was also yummy, and had a lovely pattern on top. Overall, I am very happy I visited Fig + Sparrow, and I will definitely bring my friends next time. This place is too good not to share with others! I would highly recommended this place to those who like coffee shops, and just want to sit and chill :D”

  “We stopped by Fig & Sparrow while exploring the Northern Quarter and found it to be a lovely little spot to take a break. The atmosphere is small, cozy, and inviting, with soft background music that makes it easy to relax. They offer a good selection of coffees, bottled drinks, and even some cocktails for those who prefer something stronger. It's not a large space, but that adds to its charm and makes it feel more personal. After walking around the area, it was the perfect place to rest our feet, enjoy a drink, and soak in the laid-back vibe of the neighborhood. A nice little find in Manchester's Northern Quarter.”
