  “Fantastic bar, just next to a comedy club on the corner. Location is great. Lots of indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating also. The food was fantastic. Milo, behind the bar, was super helpful and told me about the beers on draft and recommended me several options. We sat outside, and here's a photo of my lager. 10/10 location, food, and service. I recommend and will be back again.”

  “The bar staff are incredible, they absolutely should be paid more. They always makes me a hot chocolate even if I want one at the most inconvenient time. Excellent customer service and good drinks, I come back every week.”

  “We were just left standing at the door to be seated as the staff stood around chatting and they even looked at us but still didn’t seat us so we just sat ourselves down and then they only gave us a menu after we asked for one. We waited another 10-15mins without anyone coming to take our order so we just left. Very poor service and wouldn’t recommend giving them your time or money”

  “Wilson’s is my go to option when I want a drink without the chaotic busy atmosphere like most bars in NQ. In the evening it’s bustling but not too loud, with friendly and quick service. During the day it’s a great spot for a relaxing drink. We tried the food menu for the first time last weekend. It’s ideal that breakfast/brunch and lunch items are available until 4pm and it’s very dog friendly. The salmon, feta, avocado bagel was the most well presented bagel I’ve ever had! The whipped feta was delicious. The buffalo chicken burger and fries is also divine without being too spicy. Reasonably priced and very friendly attentive staff.”

  “The chicken burger for my friend and my blue cheese chimichurri steak was delicious and absolutely worth the wait during lunch hour(s). It was probably due to low staff numbers, however, if it took 15 mins to get our drinks orders, please let us know next time. Would be keen to visit for a night meal and or gig.”

  “In Manchester for the Horror-Con we we're unfamiliar with the city and were attracted to Wilson's as it wasn't too busy which was a hard thing to find at 7pm on a Friday. It had live music, I liked the lighting and the layout looked like an old American diner. The staff were competent, the drinks were decent and everything was a-okay. But just a-okay, we returned the following night and experienced exactly the same. Not great, not bad, it's just a passable bar but lacks character.”

  “Came here for the Creatures Comedy club, and it was surprisingly good. Great atmosphere, with clearly a mixed audience of Lefties and more Centrist adjacent visitors, and all was well. The comedians were quite good, all of them, which surprised me as these grass roots underground comedy clubs tend to have a lot of new people to comedy, shooting their shot and not hitting it (keep your day job kind of thing), but no, they were all quite funny. And the host is clearly experienced and very good himself. I think it's well worth a visit and throw your 'problems' into the bucket (you'll be given a bit of paper to write your woes anonymously and submit it) and one of the stand-ups will be prompt to solve it in the most asinine way, good fun! Don't know about drink or food pricing as a friend bought my drink. LGBTQ safe.”

  “Visited here today with friends. It was our second visit and we came again because the food last time was so lovely. We ate again today and also had cocktails. There was a bit of a delay on food but we weren’t too bothered as we were enjoying our drinks. Staff were lovely and attentive. There was a new member of staff being trained also and the the trainer was so kind to her. Food was delicious, and service was great. We were given a generous discount, which we weren’t expecting but was lovely, as there had been a problem with the food order submissions. Lovely places and fab staff. Thank you. 😊”

  “The building has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and polite throughout mine and my friend's visit. The food is pricey, with our total bill for 2 meals, 2 desserts, and 2 drinks coming to just over £80 (inc. service fee) but the price is reflected in the quality. The mains were ordered were the salmon feta bagel, and the steak frittes, and for dessert we got both a slice of the honey cake and cheesecake. All the food was wonderful, and the crisp apple draught cider was genuinely the nicest cider I've ever had, and cider is my go-to for a drink with a meal. Wonderful experience overall. My only complaint would be having the 12.5% tip being put on the bill by default, as tips shouldn't be an expectation but rather a courtesy to show valued service. I intended on tipping but having it as a default isn't a practice I like, especially when anxious people won't be willing to confront or question it. Would definitely come again”
