About Quarter House Beer & BBQ
Quarter House Beer & BBQ is a bar in Manchester at 11 Stevenson Square, where Jason Latham, billed as a multi-award-winning BBQ chef, runs a kitchen built around live fire, smoke and world barbecue. The food centres on the brisket tray, with salt and pepper loaded fries on the side. The nachos come with melted mixed cheese, BBQ salsa, guacamole, jalapeños and Vimto onions. A beer list runs alongside the barbecue. Orders are placed through a QR code or a website and app system. The space is a large bar with several different types of seating, and drinks are served in plastic glasses.

Customer Review Summary
The criticism centres on execution and value. One diner found the chicken tacos had a few hard pieces, and another got uneven peri peri tenders, the smallest dry and the sauce a light drizzle, after smoked wings turned out to be unavailable on the app. Others call the beer warm and overpriced in plastic glasses. One table had drinks spilled on them and the promised napkins never arrived.

“If you’re Asian and want to feel genuinely welcomed, you might have to consider other options. I just don’t want you to have to go through the same thing I did, especially, in ur important day. I want to be fair because the bartenders and serving staffs were genuinely friendly, attentive, and did their jobs well. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere and management from this restaurant made our group feel unwelcome and disrespected🥺. We were over ten Asian supporters, all wearing England shirts and cheering for England during the England vs. Norway match, and it was disappointing to be made to feel that way.”

“This place is genuinely awful and quite an embarrassment to the northern quarter. The beer is warm and overpriced, served in cheap plastic glasses. The staff are underpaid and overworked got talking to a girl who worked there who said they don’t get staff food, drinks or even staff discount when I asked about industry. She said she hadn’t received payslips or even the tips she had earned. The managers look lost. Cocktails are poured from a warm box underneath the bar. It’s a money grabbing scheme clearly ran by somebody very glutinous that thinks it’s okay to exploit young people for their own personal satisfaction.”

“The most perfect sun trap in the city with even better grub! Such a good choice of food and drink with even better prices. A must visit for when the sun is shining in Manchester!”
