Customer Review Summary
Food is the main draw at this pub, with reviewers repeatedly calling it delicious and great value. One diner describes a large sharing platter of chicken wings, garlic bread, halloumi fries, wedges, onion rings and salad with dips, alongside chunky cheesy chips. Another praises the home cooked braising steak with mash and the Caribbean beef, both very tender. Close behind is the staff, described as friendly, lovely and welcoming, with the bar staff, the manager and the owners all singled out. One reviewer calls it a great community pub. The complaints are fewer but specific. A party of five had a long wait for food, and two jacket potatoes arrived mushy inside. A neighbour objects to loud live music in the garden on summer Sundays, describing country and western singing that carries to nearby homes and says they intend to contest the licence. One visitor who brought a dog says a server welcomed them with "absolutely yes" and gave the dog treats.

“It’s a shame that this pub thinks it ok to have music so so loud outside in the garden over summer, especially on Sundays when we try to relax in our homes. Today some woman wailing country and western followed by a guy that could only be described as a Benidorm club singer. Everyone in the area has to hear this horrendous noise including the elderly in their sheltered housing nearby. We can’t sit in our gardens, have family get togethers or even open our windows. I’m very surprised that the two owners that seemed like such a nice guys when we’ve been in that pub obviously have zero consideration for their neighbours therefore we will be contesting their license via Oldham Council and with local Councillors in Failsworth. Many have complained but the landlords don’t care.”
